Glad I happened upon this thread - I do enjoy Limericks.  ;)

I once met a girl with no pants
and docked with her at every chance.
I dropped so much anchor,
it got me a chancre
and gave her a bow-legged stance.

and a haiku:

Slept with Pirate Queen
Then I caught her friendship bug.
Now I cannot move.

A certain pirate captain loved bawdy
poems and pictures quite naughty.
Until one day she read
a script while in bed
which detailed diseases most rotty.

There's always room for poetic license. We could do haiku too:

Save her from mages!
She promises to thank you
very privately.

Brilliant. Brava, madam bard. Brava.

I fail at haiku, so allow me one more limerick, if you will. It's my take on the origin of the eyepatch.

Two pirates on the seven seas
Had urges they had to appease
But it all went awry
When one poked out an eye
Insisting he be in his knees.

Played a bit today. Got to the end of Act 2 where Isabela dramatically swoops into save the team. Hawke was all, "My hero!" and swooning. I've never been rescued by a love interest before, I like it.

And then the Benny Hill music played as I fought the Arishok by running around like crazy for 15 minutes.

yakety sax really does make everything better. someone should make a video of that...my first time fighting with him had me weaving drunken figure eights between the pillars while my dog bit him in the butt.

on another topic, just finished building my new gaming pc and picked up a second copy of da2 for it (since i was on ps3 before). are there any amazing isabella mods i should know about?

Hey Isabela fans. I was hoping someone could help me out here. I always play female hawke (so many games make me play as a man so when I get the chance to play female I take it) and after flirting with Isabela she pops round to the Hawke estate. If one does not take the initial flirt option Isabela asks if Hawke if she wants to partake in some "girly fun" so it made me wonder what she says if Hawke is a man. I doubt I'll ever bother playing as a man so I thought I'd ask here, I assume she doesn't suggest "girly fun" to a male Hawke.

She instead says: "I thought you were different. Wilder, more dangerous. Someone worthy of... a duel."

And on with the limericks! This one's not quite so bawdy. Or at all.

The relic was sought by Qunari
with ferocity like a mabari.
Till Arishok
was bested by Hawke,
then the rest of them forced to say "Sorry"

And another:

Isabela had run 'way too soon
with the relic, at time inopportune.
But when she returned
Hawke sensed that she'd earned
A satisfying for a demand of her Qun.

Cheers.

PS. Counter-Haiku!

Get one point oh two
friendship with real benefits
star crossed friends no more

Why would you ever want to be rescued FROM Isabela? :?

Thank you hoorayforicecream. Glad I didn't bother playing male Hawke because I think the girly fun sounds more entertaining (love that Hawke wonders if Isabela thinks that Hawke is girly or if she was referring to shopping depending on her sarcatic/aggressive stance). Also enjoying the limericks.

Nice!

Cried my 'Bela, "You should be atoning
for the favors that you've been postponing".
So I kissed her and said:
"Then to Hightown we'll head -
and I'll give you a nice Rigid Boning".

Being rescued from any LI is intresting, I would just prefer it be Izzy. LI hardly ever save you in BW games so it was nice to see Bioware do that with her at the end of Act 2.

I think you mean "saved by" and not "saved from". Being saved from X means that you want to get away from X, whereas being saved by X means that X is the one doing the saving.

It's a semantics thing... "Hawke was saved by Isabela from the Arishok" compared to "Hawke was saved from Isabela by the Arishok". That second one would be pretty weird. :?

Dunno if this has already been asked but has anyone played Trine? Having a second playthrough now and realising how similar the thief is to Isabela (not just because of the voice).

Dunno about the bad checks thing. I've got great credit. Also... I found Isabela's clams delicious. [smilie]../../../images/forum/emoticons/uncertain.png[/smilie]

Can I just say that I completely love and appreciate the amount of blatant innuendo that you both revel in?

(sorry, but I felt a brief need to hearken to the warm and fuzzy)

Lucky you. But I said nothing about the way the clams tasted.

I'm going to guess you prefer shucking raw clams.

I never got that into clams. I could go for oysters though. A little hot sauce, some lemon juice, and a lot of slurping. ^_^
