More shameless self-promotion. The latest story (#5) in my "Snacking" series has been posted. This one's a longer one. If you like Isabela and Lady Hawke, I humbly offer my work for your perusal.
Ha. Just read the new chapter. Now I can start into the day with a big grin on my face. Kudos to you!

Thank you for the heads up.

My head and tongue move very comprehensibly, thank you.

So, just finished my first run where I got Isabela to stay without romancing her, and is it me or is her pre ending-crazyness talk better as just a friend? I mean, I know what she says as a lover makes complete sense, and you only get a kiss that way (awww yeah...), but she just seems more emotional as just a friend... Balls
My personal opinion of course, but I think when you throw the whole romance into the mix, it makes the finale of that story arc all the more fulfilling. Gives you the warm fuzzy feeling.
I suppose we could say that her being emotional, with/without the love factor, is due to being on the precipice of near-certain death - about to face a slew of mages and templars, and possibly bring the walls of the city down. Anyone might get a bit choked up about all that has transpired to get to that point. "Balls" sums it up.

I look at it this way... By that point she's already full of emotion and she's not used to it. So she shows it the best way she knows how... by grabbing on and holding as tightly as she can let herself. In a way, by just being a friend, she's willing to show more of her feelings because there's less chance of her being hurt.

You could really get the sense that she was out of her element...

Really she seemed pretty emotional to me... especially if you pick the lower option after the dead body sex joke.

I click on this thread and this is the first thing I see and my first thought was: 'only Isabela and Hawke would have a dead body sex joke right before a massive end-game fight'
And this is why I love Isabela and this thread.

So anyways... I created a music video starring Isabela and I hope I could get a little bit of feedback on this ^^ Thanks!
I like it, but I would have preffered to see Isabela with Hawke, not Carver.

Isabela with Carver? I only see Isabela with Fenris and Carver with Merrill.
And... Anders touching Bethany?

erm... she's not with carver...EDIT:'d
Um... why is the frame rate so low? It looks choppy. Also, why did you put Isabela's head on Hawke's body? Isabela looks very odd to me without her curves.

And that scene forces whatever character you replace Hawke with to wear finery. So far, the only ones which I have managed to avoid finery is Merrill's scene and Anders's scene (which is outside the mansion).
I love your avy btw XD Noticed the pony hype going on...

This. I feel the same way about Carver and Merrill. Except I want to murder the brother to protect the blood mage. I don't even like Carver on my current non-Merrill-mancing-playthrough.

I have no excuse for continuing to romance Isabela in each successvie playthrough though.

And this is why I can't play a mage. There would be no Bethany. I don't think I could get all puffy-chested and protective over Carver.

I have an excuse. Isabela's too awesome not to romance. I've played a mage twice, and I liked it both times. Carver's easy to find a use for. You wanna do the big damn heroes entrance to rescue Isabela in Act 3? Sacrifice Carver in the deep roads. You wanna yell at someone and make fun of him all day long? Carver to the rescue. You wanna feel superior to a sulky kid who has a chip on his shoulder? Here's Carver!
Carver is the butt monkey of the group. Read this comic, and just substitute "Safety Monkey" for "Carver".

I really didn't think I needed an excuse by the way. Especially not here, in this thread. It's less about the intervention and more about the embracing of our sweet vices.

My mistake. Meant to write Fenris instead of Carver.

I can tolerate Fenris, but Carver touching Isabela? That would take my righteous fury to another level.
"Hello brother. My name is Hawke. You touched my pirate. Prepare to die."
And Blansten... *points with two fingers to his eyes and than to Blansten* Killing Bethany, eh? I'm watching you...

Had Carver on my second play (only got about half way, my heart wasn't in it - was Merrilmancing, but she's not anywhere near as exciting as Isabela), brought Anders and saved him. Grr.
