And Miranda's "pants" were painted on.  Worrying about what FNC may or may not do isn't strictly relevent. 

I guarantee you the reason is, "because she looks cool this way." There's really not a lot to it, you know. Unless there was a meeting where Sheryl Chee sat down with the art department and carefully explained why it wouldn't make sense for Isabela to wear pants, I'm going to go with the they liked how it looked option.

Such opinions are quite easily dismissed due to the fact we don't know how the fact she's "that" Isabela will be utilized in DA:2. 

If the links to DA:O are tenuous at best, guess what, you'll have a point.

If the links to DA:O inform on her character and make her arc more interesting, you'll be wrong. 

Until we know, you've got very little to base your opinion on besides your assumptions.

The only cut companion I ever heard about was Jowan.  But I didn't visit the forums back in those days so I could be wrong.

i don't know if it counts for something but in the trailer, isabela is only shown when hawke is with the "spiky" armor. maybe every single character has a fixed costume in the exaggerated sections and this is isabela's.

Different actress, but she "sounds the same."   I don't believe we know who the VA is yet but it is supposedly their first appearance in a Bioware game.

No. The old VA was the same one who did Anora. They didn't want two major characters to have the same voice. She sounds similar though.

no the VA is different, mostly because the VA for origins's isabella being voiced by the same VA who voiced anora so they'll try to differentiate from that using another VA more suitable to isabela's character.
