If you have to eat to survive, you might as well take pleasure in only the finest ingredients and combinations.

Are there people who don't eat to survive?

Anorexia nervosa.

Anorexia nervosa.

Actually, an anorexic would only eat to survive.

I don't know any personally. My point, though poorly executed, was to say that if you're going to put something in your mouth, you should enjoy it. I agree with having standards and being discerning of how you please your palate.

This quote seemed appropriate, even if it is tootling my own horn.

"I wanted to tell you this face to face, Isabela. I know you may have a craving for a variety of snacks from time to time, and I understand. I can't stop you from ruining your appetite. However, I need you to understand something very, very important." She leaned in close.

"Oh? And what would that be?" Isabela couldn't fight back her smile. Hawke  reached down and took both of Isabela's hands in hers, slowly  intertwining their fingers.

"I..." Hawke grinned, "... am an amazing chef."

There are people who claim not to eat... insane hyper-vegans who also object to killing plants... but I don't think it's ever been shown that they're not just lying.

On a slightly related note, there's a pirate themed party in LA this coming week for those interested in pirates, being held at a pirate-themed bar in K-town, and admission is free if you come wearing pirate swag.

D*mn and blast that I am no longer on that coast! (Though Crazy Hook is so being added to my list of places to drop by when I am next visiting la familia.)

I only have this paltry offering for those in the mid-Atlantic region. They do throw beads after the re-enactments.

This almost makes me wish I lived in L.A. Almost. I'd totally leave my pants at home, too. Our Pirate Queen certainly knows how to party :police:

As luck would have it I'm out of town that week, that and the dry cleaners lost my hook.

Soooo...I was lurking around in some other threads, and saw some proposals for who would play who in the DA2 movie, should there be one. I'm not going to blast anyone, or have any disregard for their opinion,  but I can't say that I agree with the Isabela choices. Lucy Lawless? She'd do well for the bawdy banter and comedic timing, but she doesn't say "Isabela" to me. Jessica Alba? Looks great in some chaps, but no...no pirate there.

Just curious if any devotees here have an opinion on a specific actress who could -um - fill the corset. My vote would be for Salma Hayek.

(I'm sure this has been covered somewhere in pages 1-200, but I confess to late night laziness)

Salma Hayek is perfect for the role, the original Isabela art looks even more like her imo.

Sarah Shahi could also be a contender.

I haven't decided who yet, but I would like to urge people with casting suggestions to post pictures, and possibly link relevant past filmography of the people suggested.

I've posted this before when it came to talk of libations, but I'll offer it again as Exhibit A. She's got the walk - the swagger. And other...assets. Posted Image

Love Salma, but if she is busy then I submit Sarah as a stand in.

I haven't properly unpacked my adjectives, but Rosario is quite yummy.
I was mulling on Gina Torres (lots of TV - Firefly, Alias, Hercules, 24, Angel...).

I just realized that I have been remiss in my duties regarding my first suggestion. Apologies.

Salma Hayek's film credits include: Desperado, Bandidas, Frida and From Dusk Til Dawn.
