You know how heavy metal bands have viking theme? Alestorm has a pirate theme. Totally relevant to music and Isabela

Great, now I imagined Isabela spazzing out and headbanging as a pirate groupie.

EDIT: Ignore the post before me, ignore the post before me, ignore the post before me....

It's a good thing women aren't inanimate objects created only to protect what others consider valuable then, yes?

I think Isabela's middle name must be Nancy.

It's not a double standard if I think the man is a **** too. If I critisize Isabela I am also critisizing Zevran & the Warden & Leliana. Therefore I am not a misogynistic pig

PLEASE NO. I so hate that character. Sheryl Chee, please tell us Jack Sparrow isn't an inspiration.

Well, they both drink a lot, and wear earrings and bandanas. But I think the similarities end there?

I watched more Firefly and Star Wars (Original Flavor) while writing her plan, rather than Pirates of the Carribean.

if isabela says "wheres the rum" i'll lol

EPIC! If that happens I'll empty my wallet. "I have a jar of dirt."

I wonder what Bethany and Carver think of Isa. We already know that Isa and Varric get along quite well.

No not in that way.

I'm curious to know what Bethany and Carver are even like, personality-wise. We really know nothing at all about them.

So in my thread yesterday about Rivalries leading to romance, when I used Inara and Malcolm/ Han and Leia as my example I may have hit closer to the truth then I'd imagined?

Maybe I should contemplate buying a black leather chair that swivels and a big white cat.

If you'll excuse me I have to get to work on my evil genius laugh.

Muahahaha!

I think Carver is sort of blundering with hints of Alister, Bethany will be a mix of Wynne with a hint of Leliana

You should also work on getting yourself a double, so when James Bond shows up to shoot you he kills the wrong Blofeld.  Wrong p*ssy

Morrigan and Leliana's rancor went a bit deeper than each being attracted to the PC. What with the whole 'There's no Maker, you moron,' from Morrigan.

I just realized that they referenced the dark ages- isn't Ferelden in the dark ages?

You guys are going to get bans if you keep it up. That's not even on the technical level, it's just insulting and incorrect.

The character's sexual history & Morrigan's dislike for men are to show that they are "strong independent women" I'm supportive with it most of the time but why can't bioware give us a classy gal?

They have.  Why do you think Tali has so many fans?  She worships the ground Shepard walks on.  And there was much hand-wringing over Liara growing a backbone and showing an interest in someone else, however platonic, in Mass Effect 2.

And being critical about Bioware's supposed lack of variety when we haven't even scratched the surface of possible LIs and companions in DA:2 strikes me as odd.

Strong, independent characters seem to work a lot better on paper than in practice. Anyone remember Deekin from the NWN expansion? I remember David Gaider said a long time ago that Deekin demonstrated that there's no way that a character could be too sichophantic towards the PC. I mean he was a cowardly, whining cross between a rat and a dog for crying out loud, but he worshipped you like a pet. And who didn't like Deekin?
