I'm posting this again, because Tutchangers made a change to it. Can you spot it?

The blushing? ^_^

(In the last panel, I mean. Hawke is blushing now)

I'll admit it didn't seem all that important when I said it, but I thought you may have just wanted a reason to repost it after getting ninja'd the first time. It may also have just been my screen resolution messing with me.

I still can't stand up straight. I look like a gorilla with a staggered gait as I amble over to set up the VTRs to make tape back ups of tonight's Family Guy and American Dad feeds.

In the last panel, Hawke has a flush in her cheeks wherein she didn't previously.

Edit: Already answered. :pinched:

At least I get to be geeky.

A blush is a reddening of the cheeks and ears due to embarrassment or stress. A flush is vasocongestion caused by sexual arousal and includes increased blood flow to other areas of the body.

Well there you go, I've learned something new. And they said it couldn't be done.

Given the nature of the situation, I believe both could qualify, depending on how shy Tutchangers' Hawke is.

The chest and neck redness is the body saying its time for sexy good times.

@Aurume - Welcome, welcome!

To answer your question, there's some info on changing your avatar here -
http://social.biowar...8720/blog/2142/ - though this may not be the easiest method. Someone may have a smoother way to do it (but that's the link I have handy, so...).

Okay, thanks for info Why (long names =P)! Will try it as soon as I find some decent picture.

But back to topic. I was just wondering what difference does rivalry and friendship romance have in case of Isabela?

Yeah...it's a long name. WKW is fine though. Or "hey you." That works as well.

Regarding the friendship or rivalry paths, in what context do you mean? For the romance angle? For plotlines (non-romanced)? What I would recommend is scrolling up a bit to hoorayforicecream's last post. Click on her Isabela FAQ banner. There's lot of good info there. (I've only taken the friendship path with Isabela, so I may not be well equipped to answer specifics.)

Friendship romance pretty much means that Hawke and Isabela have similar feelings and goals... freedom to choose what they wish, and do what they want.

Rivalry romance means that Hawke is a more selfless person than Isabela, and Isabela learns and changes to recognize that and try to be less selfish and more caring.

Both are pretty good, though with the rivalry side, there's much more initial friction and the relationship feels a bit more disjointed (IMO). However, the emotional payoff at the end of the rivalry romance is better, I think.

Is it possible to get enough rivalry with Isabela to trigger questioning beliefs in act 2 is you kill Kelder and tell Martin where to find his cargo, but do all other things that net rivalry points?

Yes. Just don't bring Isabela for those two quests and she won't gain any friendship.

Indeed, that's how I did it my last run, killing Kelder and letting Martin get the cargo, and still getting enough rivalry for her to stay in Act 2.

The wiki has a list of all the quests that give rivalry with her. There is plenty to choose from depending on how you're playing.

Thank you both.

I know whihc quests give rivalry points. I just wasn't sure if losing points from Finders Keepers and Magistrate's Son would hamper my ability to initiate Queastioning Beliefs in Act 2. Good to know it won't affect me, since I cannot bring myself to let Kelder live and finding MArtin's cargo only to refuse to tell him about it seems pointless.

Popping in with some random Isabela love, because I just experienced one of the funniest ever Isabela moments in-game. She got knocked clear across the room by a giant stone golem and her response was to shout "You hit like an Orlesian dandy".

I lost it completely and had to pause the game. Love her battle cries so much.

@autumnyte - During my third playthrough (and hopefully this isn't a spoiler for you), when approaching the Qunari compound, I got the line "Oh, you don't want me in there. Female troubles." (or something very similar) I nearly choked on my drink. She indeed has some amazing lines.

Ah, these Isabela moments. I can remember one where (MINOR SPOILER) Isabela and Merrill were playing something with cards:

Merrill: Why you always win in cards?
Isabela: Because I cheat Kitten (chuckles).
(Merrill kitten face <3, and some other chat between them).

One of my favorites ^^

(yes I know, poor english =S)

Ha! That's one I've never heard before, and I've done over a dozen playthroughs. Though I confess, I stopped bringing Isabela around the Qunari compound much. I'll have to see if I can trigger that now.

So many of her lines at the Docks are fantastic.

Hmmm yes I love the 'If we kill them we get their stuff' line becuase its RPG-mentality in a nutshell, but 99%, no scratch that 100% of what Isabela says is just golden. Just apostitutely golden *cough cough*
Added a few more screencaps to my photobucket, will add even more tomorrow probably! Enjoy. Posted Image

D'awwwww, who doesn't love Kitten? She's Hawke and Isabela's acquired little sister :) And she always fills the gap left by Bethany when she gets taken to the Circle along with Aveline/Varric, depending on how lawful or profitable I'm feeling.
And as promised more screencaps have been uploaded!
Check them out (all 203 of them) ---> s928.photobucket.com/albums/ad129/the-weirdwolf/Dragon%20Age/
