Is Isabela in Legacy?
I haven't played through with Isabela myself, but AFAIK, all companions have varying amounts of unique dialogue in Legacy.

Varric: Well, that was quite the game of darts last night.
Isabela: Bah, I was full of rum by that point. And you got lucky with that last bull’s eye.
Varric: You’re always full of rum. And it’s not luck if it keeps happening, you know.
Merrill: Oh, give it a rest, you two! As if I didn’t already know what you’re talking about. This little game of “addle-the-poor-elf-girl” is getting rather tiresome.
Varric: Daisy?
Isabela: Uhh, actually, we di-
Merrill: Darts? Rum?? Bull’s eye??? Happening???? Please. Do you think I haven’t learned a few things, while running around with the lot of you? I’ll ask you kindly not to talk about your perversions in front of Hawke and myself, thank you.
Isabela: Oh dear. We’ve blown poor Kitten’s mind.
Varric: I blame you, Rivaini.

And Isabela would realise at silly o'clock and wake up Hawke saying... "Hawke! Hawke... ****! I have a SIDE OF THE BED...oh I should go now..."

Hawke gets his revenge for Carver daring to try to flirt with Isabela in Legacy.
Carver: So, let me get this straight... my sister beat the Arishok? In single combat?
Isabela: Thats right.
Carver: And she did it for your honour?
Isabela: Yes... why?
Varric: I think Junior is jealous, Rivaini.
Hawke: He shouldn't be. I'm sure during his Templar training Carver has beaten many Arishoks...
Carver: What?
Hawke: In single combat...
Carver: Sister!
Isabela: Desperately trying to satisfy a demand of the Qun...?
Hawke: Yes, but always falling short of reaching Par Vollen...
Varric: *laughs*
Carver: I hate you all so much.
Wait... Was this in Legacy or was this part of the make up your banter thing?

The new comic is just, well I almost needed a cold shower hehe. But the best thing about it is...Hawke's on the right sie of her bed, I don't know why but in my mind I always picture Isabela on the left and Hawke on the right if you were looking from the bottom of the bed![]()
And Isabela would realise at silly o'clock and wake up Hawke saying... "Hawke! Hawke... ****! I have a SIDE OF THE BED...oh I should go now..."
I'm confused. Is there some sort of significance to the side of the bed? Or do you mean that Isabela didn't realize it, but she got so comfortable with Hawke that she didn't notice that she has something innocuous as a side of the bed that's regularly hers? Sort of like having a shelf in the bathroom for her toothbrush and stuff.

Word. Those boots are beyond sexy.
And that comic is apsolutely beautiful. I love it when Bagoflimbs draws Isabela/ FemHawke pairing.

Exactly the latter. I mean she takes lovers into HER room and turfs them out when she's had her fill, so in that way having a 'side of the bed' in another person's place of residence would be very significant and of course terrifying! No idea why I imagine them sleeping that way round though, other than Hawke prefering to use Iabela's left *airquotes* cushion *airquotes* so that she can fall asleep to the sound of the pirate's heartbeat

If you don't mind, I might just steal this premise for a story later.

Why has it become so iconic to have Marian Hawk and Isabela in comics and artwork? I mean besides it being incredibly hot.
Probably the same way that Garrett seems to often be paired with Merrill. Playing through as both Garrett and Marian, despite them having (mostly) the same dialogue, they seem to come across to me at least as being two very different people. Marian definitely comes across as being slightly more irreverent, which makes her seem more drawn to being with someone as fun-loving as Isabela.

I mentioned this to my friend who’s playing DA2 on the PC and he told me I haven’t taken into account Isabela’s life story which plays a huge part of why she is who she is and my friend said let me tell you her story.
Years ago there was this beautiful little girl who grew up with only her and her mother (he admits he hasn’t heard anything about Isabela’s father in the game) as the father either left before she was born or left during her early years but in the end its just her and her mother. She soon learns that her mother is a bit of a con artist (bit of it explained when you question her knowledge of the talisman gift) and maybe her mother got the young Isabela to help with some of the cons just so they maybe could make ends meet as it might have been a poor existence for them as her mother seems to work in a market but its certainly not a rich life style. So in a way its mother and daughter against the rest of the world and Isabela would have put all her love and trust into her mother when out of the blue her own mother sells her off to marriage to some man.
First of all how would you feel if your very own mother does that to you and who knows what experience Isabela had in this loveless marriage. Who knows what age she was when this happened she might have been 18 or possibly even younger. She might have found the man repulsive to look at and didn’t like him as a person but may have had to do things she doesn’t want to do like having sex with him and who knows maybe at the beginning it was forced on her. Who knows how long this went on for until she was rescued by Zevran but you could argue that even he was too late to save her as Isabela’s personality had by that time already started to change.
With Zevran she learns a new life and starts to really become the Isabela we know in DA2 but along the way she meets someone and he falls in love with her but having experienced what she did with her own mother how can she really trust anyone else so she breaks his heart (if your own mother can do something like that can you really trust anyone else) and moves on continuing to be this highly charged sexual Pirate which is a defence so as to protect her from ever being hurt again.
Then lo and behold she meets Hawke who seems different from the rest she’s ever met and through the years she eventually gets to the point where she’s brave enough to tell Hawke she’s fallen for him/her, but (my friend said I should try the rivalry romance) she says to Hawke that Hawke will have to be patient as she doesn’t know how to be anything else and that she’ll try. So even though its annoying for you as a gamer and for Hawke to see her continue to behave this way its gonna take time, patience and love to help Isabela t behave more appropriately and become monogamous in a relationship.
So my friend said the real sad story of DA2 is not the war between the Mages and Templars but Isabela’s story as Isabela may never get back to who she really is as with anything smoking, anxiety etc. any time you behave a certain way day in day out your brain makes you think that’s the norm and the sad truth is that the real Isabela may have died all those years ago when she was that beautiful little girl before she was betrayed. So rather than not liking her, feel sorry for and understand that if she was born to a different loving family she may have turned out to be so very different.
So I have to hold up my hand and admit I was wrong and sorry for judging her without really knowing all I can about her and now when I play the game and Isabela says things I look at her in a different light and like my friend says feel sorry for her and hope (if your in a relationship with her) that Hawke gives her all the security, trust and love that she so badly needs.

Which is why I think she seeks out a sense of agency and freedom (that's my opinion...I'm hardly an Isabela expert though...).
So she gets her own ship and is her own boss, finally. This trait will forever define her character (which is why I personally think she's awesome). She wants the freedom to be in control of her own destiny.
I can't fault her for that and I think she deals with it in a very mature manner. But she's also not completely selfish...she can see that killing Castillon is a good thing when it prevents more slavery (slavery is one of the 'political' things I feel she does take a stand against given that she was forced to do something at an early age against her will).
About the 'sex' thing..yeah, she enjoys sex...who doesn't? But most simply label her as a '****' and don't pay attention to anything she ever says...she's far from that. She doesn't have sex just to have it...she seeks pleasure out if it (which again, plays into her agency as a person). But she hardly just puts out to anyone...wait, actually she doesn't.
She's a very nuanced character...she's as loyal as a dog to her friends (Hawke and Merrill come to mind). She takes a lovely 'big sister' role to Merrill and with Hawke...she will show you respect and treat you as a 'human' if you do the same with her.
She also (surprising to some) has opinions on the Mage/Templar battle and favors the Mages and freedom for these people (even though she trolls Anders and tells him she doesn't care XD...but she does).
So yeah, if you can't tell, she's one of my fave characters...and her sense of humor is epic XD
