I usually don't post here but i spend a lot of time lurking around. and since i have nobody to share this with i thought i might just post it here.
a couple of days ago i was at an amusement park and watched a pirateshow there. it was quite amusing but nothing special. but then there she was - the pirate queen Rosi. and she looked almost exactly like Isabela. i don't think i need to tell you that i watched that pirateshow twice...

You didn't think she spent those years between the acts in the Hanged Man, did you? Nobody's liver can take that much cheap booze. No, she spent those years moonlighting at theme parks... B)

well i'm a little late to this party lol only just recently picked up the dragon age series and while i wasnt a huge fan of the first i absolutely loved the second and quite frankly isabella is one of my if not my favorite character in the game. Her different scenes, her interactions with other characters, even her random comments at strange points in the game are always funny and deeply amusing.

not only is she one of the most interesting characters to watch interact shes also the most lively if you will. choosing to live life on the spur of the moment rather than worrying at all about what will happen in the future (something i really wish i was good at) this also makes her stand apart from many of the other characters in the game

lastly what drew me too her was how much she seemed to change throughout the game, at least if you max her friendship/rivalry or choose to romance her. she progressed so much as a character and while she may have still been a party girl at heart she became i dont want to say more matured but definitely a stronger person in general, shown at least by returning with the relic.

this is just my take on her and what made me actually start to truly care about her as a character in the game and what drew my hawke into a romance with her :P

I have yet to romance her all the way through, Merill ninja romanced me and locked down all my other romances. Sneaky elf probably learned it from Isabela. I love Izzy, I couldn't understand why in the beginning she kept running away from me. I was all, but, I looove you dammit.

She just gets under your skin and starts tugging at the ol' heart (and libido), doesn't she? Posted Image

Seriously though (not that the above comment wasn't serious), she has one of the best arcs of character development in the game, imo. She's well-written - both in the ability for her to come off as believable in action and word, but also in her overall dialogue as well (the sarcasm, the pacing, the poignant statements). She's sheer enjoyment.

More art!

wikdValkyrie has posted a new painting that she did for me. I was flattered and surprised at how well it came out.

Meanwhile Hawke is currently being detained for accidentally leaving her staff near the shuffleboard court, leaving several old age pensioners being treated for minor burns, the swimming pool becoming an ice-rink, and a rather unfortunate incident which involved the ship's Doctor having to remove a ferret from the Captain...

*snip*

I firmly believe Isabela to be a wet towel snapper, if only to make others drop their towels about their waists.

That story is pretty hot. I like it!

And just like hoorays "Sucking meat from a bone without using you hands" trick, I had to test if I can wiggle my foot around without moving my upper body. Result: I need more training

@TobiTobsen: Glad you like it and yeah Hooray still has me baffled on that one, I can eat a wing without using hands but drumsticks elude me still...

And some more pencil art because I'm off college and it keeps me sane:

Those are wonderful :3

My only criticism is that the nasolabial lines and the... uh... whatever that indention above the upper lip is called... seem too defined on Isabela. Lady Hawke looks fab, though :x

Thanks and yeah I struggled with those lines, luckily on the laminated copy they don't seem as strong as the scanned copy, but I didn't quite get them right. Everytime I faded them out, it lost the 3D depth...thanks for the comments!

That's pretty good, I use to draw a lot when I was kid, but I would always struggle with faces and it wasn't really a physical thing, it was a mental block or something. If I were drawing these characters, none of them would have faces lol.
