Well I would think some bar in the middle of Lowtown, is quite accustom to troublemakers, so Isabela and Hawke probably weren't doing anything too unusual, well at least Isabela lol.Sifr1449 wrote...
I think its because they all take the madness of Kirkwall in their stride. Why else do Varric and Isabela have as their base of operations, "The Hanged Man" and worry that if they survive the final battle they won't have anywhere to drink!
Personally, I reckon that in Act 1, Varric only wanted Aveline to petition the Viscount as a formality, he's probably secretly been running "The Hanged Man" for years and just wanted to make it official. Why else aren't Hawke and Isabela banned after all the trouble they cause in that place

@ Quething: great story! I love the friendship that develops between Isabela and Aveline and you explored it really well. The flashbacks were great too, hope to read more of your work soon! And you get automatic love from me because you wrote a two-handed warrior Hawke (loved the bit about one-armed push-ups!)
Thank you! Warrior!Hawke doesn't seem to get much love in fic, it's very sad. My favorite hero archetype in video games (in fantasy in general, really) is the one Aveline is built from - the tough, sturdy, (over)protective tank who and takes the hits so the specialist types can do their flashier stuff in peace. The fun part is tweaking that a bit, making a buff show-off two-handed snarker where you'd expect a modest s&b diplomat, or whatever.
Plus snarky!Hawke and Isabela are just ridiculously perfect together.
I enjoyed your story, and was very surprised to discover it was a kmeme prompt. I was actually writing a short about that very subject (and while there will be some crossover, the reason and stories are definitely different). My prereaders already have mine, so hopefully I'll release the full shorts collection soon.

Oh hey haven't seen this thread on page 1 for a bit.
I don't generally pimp my own work, but I'm trying to learn to be more forward (Izzy would be proud), so for those who like fic, She Rose the Morrow Morn may be of some interest to you.
I just wanted to come out of lurk and say I adore this fic.

@hoorayforicecream: Thank you as well! And I'm looking forward to reading yours. I've been quite enjoying "Snacking."
@shotgun-shepard: congrats! Though that makes me curious. What would Isabela get on her A-levels? It doesn't totally suit the pirate mystique, but somehow I've always figured her for someone who'd do well in school. Something to do with all the friend-fic she writes I guess XD

At 0:52. Yes. Isabela knows her assassins. Yes she does.
A girl at the ComicCon that looks like Isabela and is able to sum up the whole plot of Assassins Creed.
I have to quote Paris Hilton: That's hot!

Great videos, she certainly done better on the costume than I did! Although I was wearing my Isabela shirt and bandana on Barmouth beach the other day and swimming in it was sure fun
@ Quething: Thanks! And I think you are right, she is one of the wisest companions after all and definately possesses an affinity for literature haha!

All that and she's nice too. I frequent an LJ comm that she hangs out at, and it's a real effort sometimes to remember that randomly wildly fangirling strangers over the internet is considered creepy by some people.

You could always present her a fertility talisman to break the ice

I think the number "six" is just arbitrary. (...I think....)

Well, that's disappointing. I was surprised when Bethany (of all people) said "Isabela!" like she got it and my Hawke is still like "huh?"Wentletrap wrote...
I took it to mean that Isabela's male lovers in the past were generally unimaginative, and tended to have sex in more or less the same way / position, etc, whereas her female lovers were more creative.

Actually it's always Hawke who's interrupting at that point. Maybe you misheard it?

That's even funnier. My Hawke has a rare instance of being smarter than me. Or, at least, has a dirtier mind.TobiTobsen wrote...

Well... it just seems like the normal reaction of nearly every party member to go all "ISABELA!!!" as soon as 'Bela starts talking. So maybe it's just a normal defense mechanism before Hawke has to apply brain bleach instead of being smarter/dirtier than the player.

I think divulging what the "6" refers to could potentially violate the rules of this forum.
I always thought it was rather telling she didn't say that the six had to be different things. Having six of one thing is usually better than one, after all.
