Heh. Don't play victim now, the ban was deserved.
Take some time to think about it before you return with more mysoginistic goodness.

(EDIT: Not passing any judgements, just saying you can have sex pretty early on in the timeline.)

Given precisely chosen dialogue options the Warden can sleep with Morrigan before even getting to Lothering.  The player would have to elect to go to camp after leaving Flemeth's tent before moving on to Lothering, though.

I'm going with Mal/Han influence with Inara's sexually liberated attitude.

Definitely Mal/Han. Not so much the Inara, because I find her extremely dull. I almost want to say there's a bit of Zoe in there, because I love Zoe , but I can't. That would be deliberately misleading. Zoe is very much the military woman who takes orders and carries them out well and Isabela is... not.

For Morrigan sleeping with the Warden the first time I don't necessarily think that's true. It depends more on how early or late in the game you choose to follow through with this, but you can do it pretty early when way less than 2 months should have passed.

Well the timeline on that is pretty subjective. Most of the time in my games she ends up having sex with the Warden the first time they make camp.

Who someone has had sex with doesn't determine who that person is, or isn't, and if you think it does your an idiot.

Of for the love of-

@Dan

Isn't Isabela an *optional* companion? So if you truly think she's so vile just ignore her!

Charming or not -- 3 strangers after a 5 minute conversation? That says something about her. Not every, and I would wager hardly any, woman can be persuaded to something like that that quickly unless she's looking for it herself. Regardless of how charming the guy is.

5 minutes gametime. Did you want to sit there for four hours buying her drinks and getting to know her better before the option came up? There were darkspawn needed killing, man. Can't keep a game stuck at the Pearl forever just so it could adequately portray foreplay.

Thank you for pointing this out. It is also relevant to romancing the other companions. In DA:O our actions probably covered 6 months to 1 year as I recall. If that is correct then Morrigan probably doesn't sleep with the warden until she has known him for two months give or take. They have spent a substantial portion of that time together. So the warden and Morrigan starting a romantic relationship isn't necessarily an indication of promiscuity.

I wonder if Varric will discuss Hawke's relationships as part of the framed narrative. It would be funny to see those exaggerated events.

Its been a while since I started a new warden but my recollection was that my warden slept with Morrigan after Lothering + 1 big quest element (ie, Redcliff, Mage, Dalish...) That's how I can up with the 2 month (rough) estimate. Clearly you can run around and grab lots of the gifts and force the romance to happen more quickly. I was just using a regular run-through for this idea.

well when i got wynne (i think), i pratically talked all her dialogue in one sitting and in one i think she said "oh it's hard to believe it's only been last year that met " or something along those lines, and i thought it strange.
i think the timeline advanced individually for each character which got a bit confusing at times.

Why is everyone (including females) holding to the double standard? If man sleeps around he is an "expletive"

I don't see any female holding to a double standard. I see females who don't think men or women who have several sexual partners are morally less than those who remain chaste.

People are putting words in others mouths about morality & what their view are, if I say I don't like Isabela people think I am a misogynistic S.O.B. Every time someone says she is promiscuous they say the same old tired line that guys do it and are lauded while women do it & are ridiculed. I don't like it when people do that so I stated the fact that I think anyone who is that open in their sexuality is not classy, man, woman or darkspawn. Any woman who calls me a misogynist is for thinking this is wrong because I hold men to the same measuring stick. Chivalry isn't dead, but to many liberal ideas are killing it

Dan needed the ban though he was out of line

There's an ideal rate of interaction for companions that you can bypass easily. I think the idea is 2 conversations per main quest hub.

Fine..You find Isabela seedy and unattractive. We get that.

I find her intriguing. I wonder if we meet up with her on Llomeryn, the island south of Rivain. By it's description on the interactive map, it seems like the place a pirate would go to on occasion.

maybe we get stranded in there after a naval battle, just a thought;)

I just can't help thinking of Llomerynn as the Tortuga of Thedas.  This could be a fun pirate quest location.

 ...wait a minute....

..you could have a foursome in DA:O?

< runs off to play Dragon Age >

In all seriousness, I don't see what the big deal is.  To end up with that situation you had to have three VERY sexually liberated people.  This whole thing against Isabela seems a bit..I don't know...weak?  My first few playthrough's didn't even know there was an option there for any kind of relation with her, and if it wasn't for forum scouring I would never have even known you end up in that position (pun absolutely intended).

If she was all these things people were crying foul about, wouldn't she be forcing herself on you and your party without prompt?

You don't need to even give her anything for it to happen. It can happen just by going through her dialog tree. It doesn't take much for her to end up sleeping with you. And in her case she actually comes onto the Warden.

I know it won't happen but... I'd love for this to happen in the gameplay, if only to see the rage on the forums for a day.

Liberals did not invent the idea of having multiple partners. It's existed throughout human history and certainly predates modern, American political terms.

If you feel strongly about men and women restricting themselves sexually, that's fine. However, others don't feel that way, and in the sentence I quoted, you're suggesting that the men and women in this thread are showing a double standard. I am simply arguing that for the most part that isn't the case.

If women continuously call you a misogynist, my suggestion would be to not say 'women who have many partners are X' but to say 'men and women who have many partners are X.'

Nip it in the bud.

Okay, "gangbang" is also not on the table for terms to be used during civil discourse. I shouldn't have to make a list of words that are unacceptable here, and I'm not going to. Use common sense. That's your only warning.

Jesus. Can we use the word sex at least? Or are we going to have to start referring to it as "taking the skin boat to tuna town" or whatnot at some point? This is the 21st century. How many more perfectly legitimate words are we going to ban because they may be D-I-R-T-Y to some? :P

Here I'll help you out: if the word you're using is one commonly found in a two-line porn descriptor, don't use it.

You'd think these things would be obvious.

You'd think, huh?

Clearly at some point in his life he's been a woman that has had to deal with sexual discrimination and insults so he can totally empathize/sympathize whith everything that will or won't become hurtful to people like that.

Seriously, you two are no better than he is. Perhaps he's being insensitive and insulting. I won't argue against that. But Gaider made it darn clear that responding with the same kind of attacks is not allowed here. If you're going to keep up with him on this back and forth I, even if I am the only one that does it, will report all of you.
