I feel uninteresting with nothing to say about piercings.

Make something up!

that's what pirates do when telling their stories....except isabela, her adventures were all real.

Wven the one with the Warden and 2 greased nugs?! Posted Image

even the one where that didn't happen and she played cards with the warden instead, yes, isabela has power over her own space time continuum and other techno babble. she's that awesome:P

Mm. Unconventional jewelry. <3

Dave, it looks like you made most of what you stuck in your face.

Dohoho. I've just got lobe piercings. There's a great piercing studio nearby, the people that work at those types of places are super interesting. Not the kind of interesting I could convince my sister to get her cartilage pierced around, though. Claire's it was. Shame.

But, yeah. Pretty jewelry <3

I went to a proper piercing studio for mine even though they were just lobe piercings. It cost way more than Claire's but eh, they did a much better job so I'm happy.

@yuki I'd just be afraid I'd get craters because I really don't know how my skin would react. I had a friend with one of those piercings on the bridge of his nose and he took it out and now has little dimples on each side of the fistula.

Ah. Your skin does have a lot to do with it.

For the record, the piercings I had were like this (not me or my pic). At first I only had a labret in the middle like Isabela, but took it out. Then I got snakebites (two on either side of the bottom lip) and then felt like getting the vertical one in the middle? Under the lip? Fine. Through the lip? THEY HURT LIKE HELL. I don't recommend it. When I went to visit my grandmother I'd put rings through the side ones, since the more metal the more they bothered her. Ah, rebellious youth (lol 2 years ago!)

You know the only thing that I don't like about her new design is that chin stud, and even that I can probably get past at long as it doesn't end up being too distracting.

Same actually, but it's not a big deal one way or the other. The reason I tend to have a (minor) issue with them is I typically find piercings distracting. It's not active dislike, it's just, I don't like what it does to my perception. It's an odd feeling to describe.

I don't want my eyes drawn to the shiny metal thing, but they are.

I don't like Monroe piercings because I always just think it's a giant mole.

Odd, I'm the same way. It's not unattractive but it's odd when I see ladies with 7-8 piercings.

Lol, yeah. I just sat there dazed for a bit with the huge piercer's needle sticking through my lip because it hurt so damn much. Funnily enough it hurt less while healing than the ones under the lip. If it weren't for the pain I'd get it again in a heartbeat :crying: But now I'd have to deal with scar tissue on top of that... no thanks.

I actually like the fact that Isabela has a piercing. Not many video game characters have them.

Lets have an informal vote for which LI path we'll take. Rivalry or whatever the Friendly one is called.

I'm gonna have to go with Rivalry.

Haha, I'm the opposite. I find a good facial piercing (or two or four), or some moderately stretched earlobes (nothing huge that distorts the earlobe much) ups the attractiveness of a person to me tenfold.

Which is why when I saw Isabela had a labret piercing I was just like HECK. YES. :o

same with my male hawke i'll go rivalry.  if you choose the friendship path you'll prolly end up sex buddies.

idk what i'll do with fem hawke.  Isabela may be bi in origins but she seems to prefer men so i want to see the male LI's soon

I tend to find it takes away from the natural beauty of the person. Like they do it to draw you attention away from the face because their uncomfortable with it.

Well, I assume I'll do the Isabela romance path at least once. Not necessarily first - because the other options aren't known yet.

I don't go so far as to assume the motivation behind it.  My issues are purely aesthetic.  I like looking at eyes.

With Isabela specifically? Hard to know since I don't know what the central issues are in DA2 or how she and my Hawke feel about them. However I'm leaning toward rivalry simply because my first impression of her from Origins was not that positive. That's about all I have to go on at this point.

The reason I ask is Mr. Gaider indicating that the path changes the character of the romance. So while I can't predict whether or not Isabela's gonna be agreeing with my Hawke a lot, I'm asking which path I think would be cooler just for the sake of the LI.

Hmm, I dunno. I guess it depends on my Hawke. My rogue Hawkes I'd probably play like I playedvmy casteless dwarf rogue, so they'd be buddies or lovers or partners-in-crime. Rivalry would probably be for my more righteous Hawkes, which usually end up being warriors for me. They'll probably try to change her. I can't say for certain without knowing more about her though.

(As for piercings, I find it enhances rather than detracts. I never felt uncomfortable with my face, I just thought it looked cool and got lots of compliments on them so *shrug* it may seem that way to some but that's not really the reasoning behind it)

Oh. Probably rivalry then. Isabela seems like she'd make a good slap-slap-kiss romance.

I tend not to plan that far ahead when it comes to my character so nothing ends up being set in stone. I just play it by ear, and go with what feels right at the time.
