I get the feeling my Hawke will end up being more of a perent to Isabela then a partner/lover
Why?

Isabela strikes me as a mix between Jack and Kasumi from ME2. She seems like she has a friendly and approachable outward personality to most people (Kasumi) but I get the feeling that there's quite a bit more under her exterior, similar to Jack
Jack was an emotionally broken human being that needed psychological help, and I hope they don't use some past trauma to make Isabela a free spirit.
It's like how Hollywood makes every athiest some bitter individual that lost his faith due to "god abandoning them" which is ultimately ****** poor writing, as it is not that simple when it comes to losing faith. Likewise it's not that simple, having some past trauma, as a reason to being a free spirit.

Parent figure? That strikes me as more than a bit creepy.
Given how some people here want to romance Bethany and Flemeth. . .it's not even the creepiest thing I've read in the last hour here.

The Felicisima Armada is not without its female captains, and among them Isabela is among the most notorious. Once captain of the "Siren's Call", shortly after the Blight ended her ship was caught in a storm in the Waking Sea. It was destroyed, and Isabela washed ashore at the Wounded Coast, feeling lucky to have escaped with her life.
Now she's stranded in the Free Marches, spending most of her time in the Hanged Man tavern while she attempts to find another ship to command so she can rejoin the Armada. Those who speak to her in the tavern will likely get a story of her adventures in Rivain when she was very young, or the years she spent as a sailor in Antiva, or even the time she spent masquerading as a priestess aboard an Imperial freighter... how many of these tales are true is anyone's guess, and Isabela's laughing smirk tells them that she doesn't care what they think. She's a pirate and will one day be again, and all someone really needs to know is that when Isabela's dagger is at their throat they can let her do all the talking.
So the Siren's Call is no more. Intriguing! I wonder if we'll find Varric at the Hanged Man as well. Sorry if this is a repost...I've kept up with the thread pretty well and I don't remember reading this before.

So hey, did anyone else notice that Isabela has a character page on the DA2 site now? She's got a blurb with tasty new info:
Oh now that's interesting. Wonder if the Devs can give us any details on this whole Armada thing. Also this just run through my head
Carver: So Isabela...
Isabela: Captain Isabela
Carver: ...but your ship sank.
Isabela: So? That doesn't make me any less of a Captain
Craver: ...But you ship sank. You can't be a Captain without a ship.
Isabela pulls her dagger, and places it at his throat: Your not Varric, and your certainly not your Brother....or sister so you will address me as Captain Isabela.
Craver grunts in surprise: So...Captain Isabela.

Also, I'm liking blondies hair in this shot:

Bangs!
I've decided to like Isabela...or, give her a chance to like her. Mostly I'm just worried she'll seem too much like a female Zevran.

But I'm starting to like her more even though I didn't in Origins. She seems fun.

The hair in general seems to react the most to the lighting. I wouldn't worry about it too much.
Oh, it's not that I'm worried--I didn't like how shiny Bethany's hair looks. I do think that it looks a bit grey, though, like it's somehow absorbing light like a black hole. A bit of a sheen is fine, but I'd prefer dull over plastic.

Those two paragraphs about Isabela gives me an idea... So she spins tales of her adventures, eh? I wonder if she tells Hawke about "meeting" THE Grey Warden and the king of Fereldan/Crow/Lay Sister/Witch (I can't remember if Morrigan agreed to a threesome).
Morri doesn't like to share. Only hardened Alistair and Leliana will join in besides Zev. But yeah, she'd probably spin that tale.

"I slept with the King and Queen!" Now that's a story.
