I know Im going to sound lame having someone elaborate but I never quite got "the priiize" joke.. where did this come from?
Enjoy the visceral uncomfortableness exuded by this scene:

Mass Effect 2.
Then they broke it down.
A challanger appears.

OMG, I have most but never romanced Jacob... that was insane.
"The prize" does tend to be used to refer to the specific line, but it also serves as a pretty good stand-in for how awkward and uncomfortable the entire Jacob romance is. Not only is the writing kinda... ugh. But it's quite possibly - in my opinion - Jennifer Hale's worst voice acting I've heard. FemShep matches Jacob's awkwardness by being totally creepy.
Anyway, consider yourself caught up.

And why does FemShep always look weirdly cross-eyed? I hope the Female Hawkes don't turn out like that.

I was thinking more like, was she cheating on her husband with Zevran? Would she consider Zevran an ex or just an elf she had a tumble with.
Not an ex. Isabela is very fond of Zevran, and sees him as that cute elf that she's had a fling with a couple times. She probably believes that they could become very good friends and always means to look him up whenever she's in Antiva, but never quite manages to do so. There's always something else more important to attend to and circumstances always get in the way. But when they do meet, she's happy to see him.
it sounds like isabela can be a friendly person, always happy to see people she knows.

I thought engine room sex (WTF?) was weird and uncomfortable, but it seems Cerberus encourages all members to take a level in creepy prior to engaging on suicide missions.

Seriously, what's wrong with Miranda's room Bioware? It woulda been funny/awesome (at the very least it'd give the scene some personality) if she lit a bunch of candles in there or something.

This.
Shep turned on the unnecessarily sexy tone just asking to talk and I was like, nope. Back to Thane or Garrus. Not talking to Jacob again. I havent' seen the scene yet and can't bring myself to, even for science.
Isabela could get away with the priiiizeeeee though. She would own it. It'd be the most natural thing in the world.

Considering what prize means in pirate/naval terminology... sure. I even applied it as a semi-justification for Jacob using it in a thread once, given his history as a corsair (privateer).
A prize in that context is a ship you "board" and capture. It's incredibly valuable and basically, especially if you're a pirate, your reason for getting into the fight in the first place. High risk.
But yeah, I think while the writing for FemShep/Jacob was hit or miss, mostly miss, a lot of the problem was the awful voice acting from both actors. Maybe they were poorly directed? I have no idea.

I feel embarrassed every time someone mentions it and I've yet to play either of the ME games. It must be one hell of an epic awkward moment.
The entire romance starts out awkward from the very first dialogue. I'll put it to you this way, if the sexes of the characters had been reversed, Shepard would have been derided for coming off as a creepy pervert abusing his authority. Jacob even seems to me kinda put off by it at first.
I'm probably overstating it a little, but hey, it's for effect.

I was bothered by a few things with the ME2 scenes. Fortunately Mass Effect has its own MO, and while I did like the unique scenes, if DA2 does the same thing... I just hope they are of, uh, equal action across the board. I usually don't like commenting on the love scenes and ME2 is my favorite game to date but boy does the disparity in... content... between the Sheps bother the everloving crap out of me.
So, uh, that's all I've got to say about those.

Luckily I never had to see any of it outside of youtube, the horribly done forced flirting femShep did when you tried to simply talk to Jacob about anything made me ignore the character except when necessary.

I thought that was incredibly sweet. Not something you hear often, but she's one of those creative types.
