PLEASE NO. I so hate that character. Sheryl Chee, please tell us Jack Sparrow isn't an inspiration.
Well, they both drink a lot, and wear earrings and bandanas. But I think the similarities end there?
I watched more Firefly and Star Wars (Original Flavor) while writing her plan, rather than Pirates of the Carribean.
I actually think a character with a Jack Sparrow influence would be rather interesting.

What? I liked Jack Sparrow. He was a crazy rum loving pirate. What's wrong with that? I even dressed up as Jack Sparrow for Halloween.

He's fine, but POTC is pretty silly, isn't it? I would expect and hope for more sarcasm and sexual innuendo and Hedonismbot type antics from Isabela.
Plus, I'd rather see Sheryl Chee's Isabela than Sheryl Chee's Isabela channeling Jack Sparrow.

There were plenty of silly/funny characters in the first game. I don't see how they'd be out of place in the sequel. I'm not saying an exact replica of him or even this character. But it'd be interesting to see some more funny/crazy characters.

Sparrow was great in the first movie. Then they turned him into one of the three stooges, and it all went downwards from there.
But... where has the rum gone?
I'M HILARIOUS

Seeing as my first Hawke will well...Pretty much be the male equivalent of her, they should get along quite nicely.
But the question is, when they finally bump uglies. Who's the one getting the Priiize?

I don't think there would ultimately be much of a difference.
If someone tells me that a character is influenced by Han Solo, I'll think 'charming rogue, probably mercenary leanings but with a good nature.' I might like or dislike that *character type* but my feelings for Han Solo don't matter as that character isn't Han Solo.

"Remember this as the day you almost captured Captain Isabela."
that was my favorite Jack Sparrow line.
I can see similarites between Jack and Isabela, but Jack was delusional and Isabela seems to have her life straight.

... why only Hawke can afford to have last name?
Maybe Varric will share his with Isabela out of pity or for long-term interest.

i dont think isabela is her real name, i think that is what the devs said. so she probably doesnt have a last name, but yea i always wondered why BW doesnt give companions last name.

But the others DO have last names. Besides all of the Hawkes, there's Varric Tethras and Cassandra Pentaghast.
Plus yeah, Isabela is not her real name according to Sheryl (who claims not to know what her real name *is*).

Yeah, but that's info we got on the forums while i wondered if we get to see companion's last names in the UI like Hawke's. For example in DAO you wouldn't get to see Oghren's last name in character sheet or anyone else's, but then it also didn't show Warden's last name so it was at least consistent in this regard.Anarya wrote...
