I have posted previously that RTO is not downloading and I have found out why. I dont know if its just my bluray disc or everyones in the uk but RTO is actually not included on the disc. I installed each addon seperatly and after each install checked the total install figure for dragon age. When I install RTO and check if the total install figure has changed I found that it had not! One thing i noted was that RTO and the stone prisoner/shale had exactly the same install figure of 291mb. Please if anyone is having the same problem as me speak up because if EA have shipped this game to people in the UK not including the RTO dlc there gonna be some unhappy people. I have a UK version of the game. Please can someone from bioware/mod look into this?
thanks

Wait. It's out in the UK now? Does all the other DLC work? I know the PC version has some problems.

Well its not out till tomorrow but mine arrived yesterday. No not all the DLC works on my bluray. RTO doesnt work. If you read my previous post you should understand why. I prob not been very clear. I think basically they have loaded up two versions of the stone prisoner dlc onto the disc but one is labelled RTO and the other is stone prisoner. I think this because they are both exactly the same file size (291mb) and when i look at the total install file for dragon age it hasnt changed after installing RTO basically meaning that the RTO dlc is just overwriting something thats already installed, proberally stone prisoner as its the same filesize. Hope that helps. I just want an answer from someone official.
I remember when I brought the limited edition on launch and there was the whole mess with the limited items not downloading so i didnt get any DLC through pure annoyance. Now Ive brought the ultimate edition because of the money saved and this has happened. Its not very good impression that im getting from EA.

Well considering that absolutely no one else has reported such an issue, only you, then it's clear to say the issue isn't on all discs, likely just you. Either contact EA support or return it and exchange it for another copy.

Yeah i thought that, but considering the game not out till tomorrow i must be one of the first to get it as it arrived two days before release maybe the problem has yet to be experienced by more people. Well im hoping anyway :P

And people have it in the US, and NO ONE has reported anything like that. Just contact EA Support or exchange it.

People have issues with game discs all the time. Wouldn't say you're only one. Just a very small minority. I have a friend who had a Modern Warfare 2 disc that the PS3 literally would pick and choose when it wanted to read it. She just got it exchanged, problem solved.

I'm from the UK as well.

And yes, it appears that RTO is completely missing from the disc :-(
Since the 'RTO' file on the disc is the same size as the Shale DLC, it appears to be duplicate file.

Can something be sorted out about this? It's kinda left a sour taste in my mouth...

WingusD it sucks dont it! I wont lie though im kinda glad its not just me. Thing is im gonna take it back to GAME tomorrow for an exchange but then again who is to say this new one will work. What a **** up the manufacturers have made of this! Ive been one here and gamefaqs posting about this since yesterday and your the first person to have the same problem. If its UK wide problem then thats bad...

I am from the UK and I have also got the same problem with RTO. I don't really know what to do about it as I have never had any problems with ps3 games before today.

I got mine from HMV, they also offer 1 year's protection on it for £1. I have the Xbox 360 version and RTO works, I checked. Maybe it's just with the PS3 version then.

I got my copy yesterday & have the same problem. I contacted EA immediately via a live chat & they were looking into it. I deleted my game data, reinstalled it & chose to install Wardens Keep & Return to Ostagar, but when I looked at the downloadable content Wardens Keep & The Stone Prisoner were shown as downloaded.

Techno-Chicken is spot on as to why that is, both The Stone Prisoner & Return to Ostagar are indeed the same file. Just updated my question so they know what the problem is but I'm not happy. There are things I can accept such as a few bugs etc but missing files on disc or in this case duplicate ones is just plain wrong & should never happen.

Well it appears its just the ps3 version. Tried taking mine back to game today but they said cause its a manufacturig problem they cant exchange it for me. Well they are going to be saying that to alot of people when they all come in with the same problem. Ive started a topic for people to 'sign' their unhappiness and hopefully it will catch the eye of bioware. Everyone with this problem NEEDS to tell EA so they will take you seriously as we clearly cant be a select few. i know it sounds petty but im not paying 3.99 to download what im missing. They need to issue codes for the missing DLC...

Going to update my support question with EA tonight

Are you UK as well? I have a suspicion, considering just about everyone who's complained is in the UK, that it's only those region discs that are screwed up. I think the EA UK publishing house must have screwed up royally. Comforting to me since I'm in the US, but still not something that should happen at all.

I would say that everyone who has this problem should either contact EA through Live Chat, email, or call them directly.

Well that further solidifies my suspicion that EA's UK publishing house screwed something up in the publishing.

Nintendo has the same problem with their Pokemon TCG card printing. They just recently started shipping out completely blank cards lol. What has the world's publishers come to in this day and age?

EDIT: Good to see Bioware is doing something about it though.

Have the exact same issue.

I live in the UK, purchased my copy of DA:O Ultimate Edition yesterday (BLES 01076), and despite my best efforts, Return to Ostagar will not show up as installed in game, and appears to be the same file as The Stone Prisoner (or at least the same size). Since other people in the UK are having this issue I'm guessing it's a disc production problem. This makes me wonder if it's worth returning to try another disc, think I'll try that first anyway. I've already deleted all game data and reinstalled just RTO but still the problem persists.

Hoping Bioware/EA will be able to come up with a solution soon, something like a code so we can just grab RTO from PSN would be lovely.

I only need the awakening install as I have the rest but I seriously hope they fix this for you guys. RTO gives the chest and the good sword so its a decent add on for those reasons.

I hope you are looking into it. Seriously EA you are meant to be one of the worlds top producers and you actually let this happen. I mean, shipping out your ps3 versions with a dlupicate file? I for one cant take my copy back to the place i brought it from as manufacturing errors are not in their returns policy. I dont care if im ranting. Ill even admit it! we are stuck with game discs that are not complete, a 'nearly ultimate edition' if you will. I only brought it cause it was advertised as a complete package. please please either issue us with PSN codes to download the missing DLC.

I will quite happily take a pic of my ugly mug holding the game, the receipt, and looking ridiculous if it got me an RTO code!
