So we were told that chainmail bikins were never going to be included in DA2, understandable. But what's with having Isabela wear an outfit so short that we can see butt every time she jumps? Or is this the current fad? Side boobs for 2009 and butts for 2011.
Nah. Butts for 2010. (Side) Boobs, butts and chainmail bikinis for 2011. Yes we can.

One could argue that rogues don't wear armor but I admit the upskirt shot was a bit much.
If she were wearing tiny hot pants, it'd be better. I just think the panty shot every time she fights is a bit much. Combined with the totally confirmed gigantic bazooka breasts on every female model.

Being serious, as for outfits, I can see an outcry if some of these revealing ones make no sense at all. (A warrior type in Isabelas outfit.) But sometimes the sexy outfits fit, not only the character but their possible motives.

I'm not against sexualized characters as long as I'm not completely beaten over the head with them constantly.
There are to scenes where camera ogling in ME2 woulda been appropriate:
Shepard to Miranda: "I can't admire your body..."
Shepard to Jacob: "You've kept yourself in shape.
It was totally inappropriate when the former was talking about her sister, for example.

Well the pants are a little closer to "home plate", as it were...

I can only imagine what DA3 would have in store to attract teenagers.
Something on par with God of War and Duke Nukem.
Just wait till FOX get's a hold of this.

Not their fault, you stipulated no chain mail bikinis, you never said anything about other smexy outfits.

Agreed! Plate Mail Armor Of Absolute Protections No SRSLY We Mean It should look that way. Not a copper sarong and and clamshell bikini. In Isabela's case, though, less armor gives her more freedom to move and that's pretty much what her class is all about... dodging, juking, and otherwise not getting hit.
Besides, Sea Folk women go topless when Wetlanders aren't in sight.

Really, it´s possible make a character badass looking and with sensible clothing for fights. I´m really missing that in BW. Even Aribeth had that stupid breastplate. ME1 was a step in the right direction, pity they took it back.

Well, naturally only teenagers are attracted to (the sight/prospect of) side boobs, butts and chainmail bikinis. Oh, and stupid people, for the sake of the - your - argument.
Granted, there should also be more "subtle/sophisticated" means of sexual attraction. But I don' think a character has been damaged here. Well, unless it's one you had in mind/imagined, of course.
P.S.:

Yes to chainmail bikinis (jk), yes to above average boobs and yes too unnecessary pants on a promiscuous pirate lady that doesn't give a crap about societal standards for modesty.
That's also good.

I hardly stipulated anything, the title of the thread is more of a quote from Bioware. I simply assumed that "smexy" outfits would fall under this category. Female rogues have always been able to get away with less clothes, because of restriction from clothings (I guess). However, I can still see these moves being pulled off with pants as well.

I found Morrigan's silly "shirt" far more unbelievable than Isabela's lack of pants. The vast majority of her legs are covered by massive boots and some kind of skirt thing. There's certainly lot less skin showing than in the case of Morrigan.
Overall, Isabela's more covered up than your typical college cheerleader.
In any case, NKKKK is right, if we can change outfits and I have no reason to expect that we can't, it's not a problem.

I hope I can give her pants, it's tactically bad to be exposed
Why? It can certainly distract the enemies
I have no problem with either Morrigan's or Isabela's outfit.

Thus my 'now being serious comment'.
As for her looks, to me it has little to do with freedom to act like a rogue. She could wear any number of outfits to do that. It has more to do with her position 'Pirate Captain' and how whe uses her looks. If we want to get very technical there have been studies that suggest that better looking people dressed in a more sexy fashion get more attention are given breaks and are less likely to be looked at with a lot of suspcision.
