It might. Cloth bunched around or between her legs and hip joints could greatly impede her flexibility and movement if her fighting style relied even somewhat on the use of her legs/
And I'm sure she'll get hit harder and take more damage than your armored Hawke. I can almost promise that.

Well it's not like we have a lot of historical records to go of off and much of what we do have is probably biased. As you get closer to the modern age though you more accurate records. There were quite a number of female snipers in WWII. Lyudmila Pavlichenko was one and she tallied up 309 confirmed kills.
Snipers in World War II have no historical bearing on the Dragon Age era.
True which leads to me to argue none of our history should have any bearing in a fantasy world. Been awhile since I have read any Dragonlance Novels, for example, but I do recall strong female characters.
I disagree completely. Certain historical moments do indeed have much bearing on this fantasy setting. Especially when it comes to tools and available technology, which armor falls under.
It's not your vision but BioWare's. You're free to write ficiton however you want. Of course reality melds with fantasy but that doesn't mean writers can't bend or break perceptions about female warriors, for example.

Tights do not greately impend flexibility. If it did no martial artist or ballerina would wear them. They will impend it somewhat but not to the extent that she wouldn't be able to fight anymore. Most people learn how to compensant for the (slight) additional weight. Gymnasts and the like wear tights. They can still do those flips and jumps. They aren't crippled from it.

Not like any of us have historical armour lying abou the house. The paintings that do depict females of that period, they are wearing the same as males. I do have a police ballistic vest though and it doesn't display cleavage...flat except inside where there is more cushioning around certain parts.
Some do

My will is ironclad and resolute.
In that case my response is I disagree unless the camera angles of the game itself - and not simply the trailer - highlight the lack of shorts/pants are just as gratuitous as the totally out of context shots of Miranda's ass. Then I'd be right there with you.

Which is why Olympic gymnasts often don't wear clothes. Because of how impeding they are.

Anyhow, I totally lied and totally laughed. But it was an unwilling laugh that compromised my belief system and made me question my character, just so you know.

Did you actually read this stuff? You have to pay attention to time periods. The Celts were introduced to armor working after the introduction of Roman influence... the ones who defeated the Celts and mostly corrupted and bastardized Celtic culture. Though it wasn't entirely destroyed until the invasion of the Saxons.
Boudica existed prior to these incidents and died defending her country against the Roman invasion. She would either have lived on the cusp of Celts beginning to use armor or right before they learned to use it due to their crushing defeat at Roman hands.
All other examples given are of helmets and shields. Not Armor.

Of course not. Never said they couldn't or don't. Bioware certainly does. I'm just illustrating their limitations.
