I'm just afraid that she's going to run around and her buttflap thing is going to go flying out and I get to see Isabela's ass all day. Or that every time she attacks in battle, there it goes. We saw Isabela fighting for like, five seconds on the trailer and we got flashed in several different scenes.

Sort of copy-pasting from another thread, but Isabela's outfit seems to be basically a tweaked model from DAO, the one of chasind robes. As such, you can get a good estimate of what it does or doesn't show.

Also, i'm not sure about the whole flashing thing -- unless i watched entirely different trailer, it seems these parts of the model have deep shadow permanently burnt in the textures, similar to the DAO light armour under-the-skirt parts. So it doesn't actually show anything, even during that slow-motion spinning kick she does.

The only thing that really bothers me about the current clothing...is Isabelas skirt / shirt/ flap thing moves and has some kind of light physics too it, WHICH IS AWESOME, I don't think BioWare has done much with moving hair or clothes before. BUT male Hawkes coat / tail thing looks pretty stationary.

Whats good for the goose is good for the gander people. So I might have to start a new movement crying foul at the development of reaction in womens clothes while the mens clothes look stale and lifeless. Equality people!

Not an expert here but if I remember correctly pirates and various sea-going people actually don't wear armor for the most part because its cumbersume and slows them down too much, protective features aside.

Basically when your out on the ocean; whether in combat or not being able to manuever quickly and easily is better than being a human tank. That and probably salt rusting it and whatever technical stuff I'm not thinking of.

.

Like falling in the water?  :D

Pirate 1: "Help, I'm drowning!"
Pirate 2:  "No kidding, you're wearing a bunch of armor.  Why would you wear that, anyway?"
Pirate 1: " I didn't want to be stabbed or shot."
Pirate 2: "Not such a great idea now, huh?"

Contrary to popular opinion most sailor could not swim, plus most were wearing loads of equipment & ropes & powderhorns & such

So wearing even more equipment would just make it even harder to move around, especially when ships aren't known for providiing a lot of space.  But who am I to argue with someone who decides that they're an expert?

Never said I was an expert, if you have a problem with my information show me a counter argument that is factual sound

Same could be said for you.  I have no reason to believe that what you've said is factually sound.  Somebody already disputed your claim not too long ago, so who am I supposed to believe?  Both make a claim to fact, but neither provides a reputable source.

All I was really trying to say is that wearing a bunch of heavy armor would be a good way to impersonate a rock at sea, but sometimes people don't get jokes, even when there is a laughing face right next to it.

Quote from a Google search, about the historical book Master & Commander

(In particular, I'm reminded of when the sailors quibble over why so many sailors can't swim.)

Well, let's compare notes...

screen capture and adjusting gamma levels?

that's purely scientific interest. Honest.

No, really.

Isabela's pantslessness is pretty tame compared to most of her counterparts:  http://www.creativeu.../ff12-fran.html

The fabric moves now, as we saw, and it did move in the trailer--we didn't see an extended fight scene, so it's difficult to tell how much we'll see. But I most certainly saw her panties. Hold on. Yeah, okay. Sorry for the quality.

So we were told that chainmail bikins were never going to be included in DA2, understandable. But what's with having Isabela wear an outfit so short that we can see butt every time she jumps? Or is this the current fad? Side boobs for 2009 and butts for 2011.

First off that's not chainmail, secondly just get over it, she's supposed to be a sexy character who seduces people at a whim and uses her feminine wiles to get what she wants. But let me guess women can't be alluring and still be women right? Because that makes them something men like and men evil, isn't that how it goes? Sexism makes me sick. If you don't like how she looks then put her in plate armor and then there won't be one square inch of exposed skin.

Did you notice Hawke's codpiece is a little, flat?  Poor man, no wonder he left Lothering...

*Cough* On topic - I like the boots but a pair of shorts wouldn't go astray.

Woah, slow down there, dude! Chainmail bikini is a phrase people use to describe when female characters wear impractically, illogically tiny clothing for sex appeal.

Seriously, who are you to throw all these accusations in there when Siradix never made them?

The person may have the skills but not everyone will respect you based on that alone. You also have to give the appearance of being in control. Which, I believe, clothes play a role.

They maybe sillier but they would be considered off topic in a DA2 forum.

What you wouldn't be comfortably going into battle lead by someone with a buttflap?

Actually, I quite like it. I just wish she'd wear shorts or something. I mean, I like it enough to want to keep it on her instead of change the armor--but if I keep getting flashed, I'm going to change armors.

In my opinion:

Morrigan > Isabela > Samara.
