Am I the only one who likes Isabela's outfit?

No the boots ' three inches short of a pair of pants' she wears are HAWT.  AND that pendant / necklace she wears is awesome AND she has a piercing (maybe more) AND she wears a handkerchief on her head.

It's just...maybe she was a plumber before a pirate.

The fabric moves now, as we saw, and it did move in the trailer--we didn't see an extended fight scene, so it's difficult to tell how much we'll see. But I most certainly saw her panties. Hold on. Yeah, okay. Sorry for the quality.

The fabric movement seems to be the same thing DAO uses -- bone-based animation, similar to what can be seen on the clothing "flaps" and other such pieces as the characters move aroud. You can see the front part of the outfit cut directly into Isabela's thighs as she lands for example, because it doesn't move up while the back part did receive attention.

But you're right, i was checking the earlier parts of that sequence and didn't see anything there, so skipped checking the back view as well. The way they did it looks about as low-key as it can go, though. If you didn't point it out i'd probably overlook it.

So we were told that chainmail bikins were never going to be included in DA2, understandable. But what's with having Isabela wear an outfit so short that we can see butt every time she jumps? Or is this the current fad? Side boobs for 2009 and butts for 2011.

First off that's not chainmail, secondly just get over it, she's supposed to be a sexy character who seduces people at a whim and uses her feminine wiles to get what she wants. But let me guess women can't be alluring and still be women right? Because that makes them something men like and men evil, isn't that how it goes? Sexism makes me sick. If you don't like how she looks then put her in plate armor and then there won't be one square inch of exposed skin.

Woah, slow down there, dude! Chainmail bikini is a phrase people use to describe when female characters wear impractically, illogically tiny clothing for sex appeal.

Seriously, who are you to throw all these accusations in there when Siradix never made them?

It's not illogical if you understand that the character wants to be appealing. And that goes back to the whole women can't be provocative without a whole slew of assumptions following. But that's my side comment.

The fact of what I said was people need to stop with the "X is dressed unrealistically, everyone knows you don't wear leather to kill a dragon." It's just a bit of fiction that people need to lighten up about. And why would someone dislike the starting clothing for a character they can dress how they want? So still I say who cares and if the OP doesn't like it then he/she can change her clothes and be happy.

Seriously, who are you to question my ability to comment on things how I want?

I have nothing against sexy revealing outfits but the no pants bit is just a little stupid, she should have really short shorts or something at least. Adventuring with a naked ass is just not very smart or comfortable, she can't even sit on anything without the risk of hurting herself.

She's wearing tan shorts that happen to blend in with her skin.

They also have a weird pattern that makes them look like panties.

If she's on the boat often though what if something...crawls up there....

Ew.

I hope she has on underwear at least.

Armor/clothes can be modest and somewhat sexy like Underworld or Leliana's Sacred Ashes outfit. /shrugs

...uh, I want chainmail bikinis. How's about this? If they are in the game, don't wear them.

People are just worried that no-one from Bioware has explicitly stated that characters will not have a static appearance such as those in ME2.

Well, there's going to be an inventory, right?
I don't think that BW is going to scrap different armors or clothing.

According to the ME blog ME2 has a squad "inventory".

So...that whole inventory thing is not reassuring. =]

Fine as long as no NPCs are wearing them.

Isn't it an "armory"? Which is different.

No It's called a Squad Inventory in the blog: http://masseffect.bi....com/home/blog/

Equipping Your Squad
January 15, 2010
by Christina Norman
With up to 10 squad members, equipping your team in Mass Effect 2
could have been a daunting task. To make this task manageable we’ve made
two inventory advancements: squad inventory, and auto-upgrades.
Squad Inventory

Whenever Shepard finds an upgraded weapon he scans it with his
omni-tool, uploading detailed data to his ship. Using that data, this
ship’s armory can replicate the weapon, making it available to any squad
member trained to use that weapon type. For example, if you find a
superior shotgun, your armory will fabricate copies, making that shotgun
model available to any squad member with shotgun training. This gets
rid of tedious inventory management tasks, like unequipping and
transferring items between squad members.

For a better look here: http://blog.bioware....ing-your-squad/

It's called an "inventory".

Maybe they could put tear off stripper pants on Hawke to even it out.

Hmmm...
Well, it's called an armory in my game. Not an inventory.

Again, I don't think we're going to be left with static appearances. In the trailer Hawke and Carver have different outfits.
A dev confirmation would be nice, though.

The squad will be made up of Hot Cops?

I mean, it's unusual, and not really my thing but - look at them - they're so hot.

True called that in game

Since we don't have the DA 2 game yet...all we have is the Devs words.

Didn't turn out to well for ME2 when their so called "squad inventory" was just a limited weapons loadout and armory in game.

Now I'm not saying that the inventory won't be extremely similar to DA's but I rather err on the side of caution.

Better to let the Devs know this is a "DO NOT WANT!" than wait until it's too late.

To be honest, I liked the lack of an inventory in ME2.
I just picked up my guns and departed to the missions, without having to change armors, checking the pros, the cons and all that kind of things...I know, it's basic in a RPG, but the lack of it helped to agilize the action.
Also...the armors in ME1 were ridiculous. I hated 'em. Especially one that was yellow.

BUT.
I want to change outfits in Dragon Age 2. So, I want an inventory in this game too. ME3 can follow the same path as ME2 for me.

^and you and I defer there. I like being able to pick and choose what armor to wear.

Granted in ME it was ridiculously cluttered and really badly managed. But I didn't want it completely gone!

Though I probably won't pick up Isabela anyways so it wouldn't be a overly big deal for me.

I think they acquired DA to have an RPG but it looks like they are going in the opposite direction...turning it into another action game clone with ME mechanics in it.
