BioWare’s Dragon Age team and Penny Arcade have teamed up once again, this time to create an awesome in-game item for Dragon Age II, the belt called Hindsight. Penny Arcade’s Gabe & Tycho (artist Mike Krahulick and writer Jerry Holkins) were given a belt that would appear in Dragon Age II and we given free rein to create both the story behind the belt and a comic illustrating the belt’s history. They crafted a tale of Hindsight, a belt with both great power and a dark past.

Once Gabe & Tycho finished the comic and presented it to the Dragon Age II team, it has been turned into a full motion comic complete with full narration and sound effects. The full motion comic can be watched on the Dragon Age II Hindsight Page

Furthermore fans will be able to get Hindsight in game while playing Dragon Age II by subscribing to the Dragon Age II newsletter by clicking the badge on Hindsight Page and registering.

We hope you enjoy Hindsight.... while you can.

Okay, there is something seriously hilarious about seeing Penny Arcade's style suddenly cut off to Hawke's Manly Walk of Awesome. Especially when I then assume he's wearing that belt.

Click the "Get your DAII Penny Arcade Belt" badge on the video page, sign in with your social email/password, and you'll get the entitlement. It will show up immediately in your entitlements if it worked.

To be clear, register again if you have already registered for the newsletter. You will not get 2 newsletters, but you will see the entitlement on your entitlements page once you have done so.

uhh. did what it said, and got it on my registered game promotions....... for xbox 360 and for PC/Mac....... I have a ps3, why no show for that?

Dunno if this is just happening for me or for all Chrome users, but the top of the page doesn't load properly, cutting off everything above the video. Tried it on Firefox and it loads fine. Still managed to find the bottom of the register button though!



Only a PC and 360 version are showing up in my registered promotions, is the belt available for PS3?

LOL. Awesome good. It's true. There really are very few noteworthy belts. Andruils Blessing is really about it.

Didn't mean it like that, I assumed it worked the same way as the staff... so I apoligise ( though it was merely more a question then a complaint, those can be found in the other thread )

That was I thought aswell.

Atleast now I've signed up for the newsletter with 3 different options. Oughta get a staff sometime later.

It showed up on the "Your registered game promotions" page...except for the PS3, which is the system I have. And still no staff. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with that. I've followed all the directions but to no avail.

This is actually a rather cool, and hilarious, addition to Dragon Age II. Great way to add to an already staggering amount of awesomeness. My thanks to both the BioWare Team and the Dynamic Duo that is PA's Gabe and Tycho for putting this all together. Outstanding.

Pfft. You mean like Thorn of the Dead gods (I think) I kept expecting my characters using that to have a piano fall on them or something through DA:O.

To be honest, I was kind of upset that it didn't.  Would have been one hell of an easter egg.

writing about hindsight: everytime i try to play the penny-arcade-video, i get the "rise to power" one instead.

Got hindight, no problem. Saw the video, no problem. Lacking hindsight on the ps3, the system I pre-ordered the game for.... a lil'bit of a problem.
