Ironically, that worked, but still no sign of a Staff of Parlathan.
Same, tried registering twice for the staff, zero joy... same as you with the belt, that worked

Exactly. Why no Bioware comments on the issue? Like, "we gonna fix that" or "screw you".Okusenman wrote...
Got hindight, no problem. Saw the video, no problem. Lacking hindsight on the ps3, the system I pre-ordered the game for.... a lil'bit of a problem.
It's not like I'm going to buy the game for anything other than PS3 - my DAO saves are on PS3.

This is what I'm wondering too. I think it's just an error, but let's hope somebody clarifies/fixes this...

It's sort of like getting to start out with an enchanted captains sword though when normally you'd be starting you quest with a wooden sword carved from an old fence and a pot kettle shield. I'm not sure how that will work out.

In comparison to Baldur's gate, those items had unique art, paragraphs of history and unique stats that makes the player feel they have just acquired something awesome, and not redundant as soon as the next "tier level" is introduced.

No really - is that so hard to simply tell if that's a mistake or not?

I know what you mean, (went exclusively to "Nightmare" quite a while ago for this very reason.) But no one is FORCED to equip such items. If it makes the gameplay too easy, bump the difficulty, or switch gear.Inprea wrote...
I wonder how powerful these items are actually going to be. If we're permitted to use them from the very beginning of the game it could negatively affect the game play. However, from the description of said items it seems like they should be fairly powerful.

We have the Power, we can chose to use it wisely!
