Okay so I bought he ultimate edition this morning on steam. I had only the original release and none of the extra DLC or awakenings so I thought it cheaper to get it all this way.  I have entered the 2 product codes all all seems fine on that front. my accounts all linked up and the DLC say it is installed.

BUT. all the new DLC contect still says it is un-authorized in the game. I press online profile in game and check under content and it is all there. Anyone know what I am doing wrong or WTF is happening.

When the EA store glitched for me and wouldn't let me buy DA ultimate edition I actually got a response to this question....instead of the one I asked. It was completely useless for me, but hey it looks like it'll help you.

I'm sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with Dragon Age: Origins download content. This happens when an account which does have access to these items downloads them at any point, and another account logs in (which does not have these entitlements. http://help.dragonag...6&p_faqid=23584).

If you are logged into the same account, then in order to resolve your issue you need to follow the below given steps:

- Shut down Dragon Age: Origins

- In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'

- In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'

- Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'and 'addins.xml'

- Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder

- Navigate to 'C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder

- Navigate to 'C:\\\\My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder

- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'

- Restart Dragon Age: Origins and log in

For Windows Vista/Windows 7 - C:\\Users\\All Users\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\

- Navigate to 'C:\\My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder

- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'

- Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in

This does not impact saved games. This only deletes all DLC from the system so you may download the content again.

If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know. Additional support can be found on our help site located at http://dragonage.bioware.com/.

Ya here is the real issue. With steam and win 7 the Daupdatersvc does not get added to services. so you can't start it. I have entered the redeem code but still does not work.

Plus if you look above both the initial code and the Redeem code has been entered. I have everything set-up it just will not authorize the new content. I have tried work arounds using installutil but I can't get that to work either.

Hi,

I've purchased the Ultimate Edition by Internet (EA Stores) and I've received a mail confirming the purchase and giving me a key with 20 digits that let me activate Origins and Awakening but DLCs (downloable content) appear as unauthorized.

I've read you talk about a 16 digit code (promo code) which they didn't send me. Any idea where can I get it?

Thank you in advance.

and the most awesome thing is when your in the ea help section and try to get in contact they ask you for the product key AND promo code (which is the problem...)

The UE code for the PC version of the game is one code and it's used for activating the entire package, including the DLCs. There is no separate promo code on the PC. Unauthorized DLCs is a separate issue unrelated to the use of the UE activation code. There are several threads in the tech forum on that issue, so something there might help clear it up for you.

I followed all those steps. twice. no difference, in fact it made it even worse, because now I can't even see any of the dlc I should supposedly have, let alone authorized. Not a good thing :(

Same issue here, been through the tech forums and through the help pages. DLC shows up as installed but not authorized. Check my Bioware account and its there. Windows 7 64bit seems to be the issue. Trying to get some one on the phone that doesn't just say, "Well that should work" should work and is working are two totally different things.

I'm finding the same thing as someone else posted- the service we're being told to look for is NOT in the list of services.

Same issue. Installed but not authorized. Receive two an emails for support today from Bioware.......both were blank.

Looks like I just wasted the $ on this DLC. Can't seem to find anywhere to get this thing to work. It looks like a Steam Windows 7 64 bit issue.

Same issue. Posted in another thread, but hoping if I spread it around, I'll have more luck.

I have used the services console, and determined that the service has not been installed. Numerous attempts at installation have led to the same result. The log says that there is some security issue with the installation, and "rollback".

It would seem the service needs to be installed somehow, but I'm at a loss as to how to do so at this point...

Same problem from the EA store, did not recieve any useful help. I am re-installing the game now to see if that helps, feeling like I got taken for a ride.

Reinstall did nothing for me. If the reinstall involves re-downloading, don't bother. I was actually able to get my issue (updater service won't install) working. Still, would like an actual fix, as opposed to a workaround.

Still unable to access content!!! Have tried al the fixes on the forums, including activating the updater service (which appears to work fine anyway) I do have error logs in the EA folder EAcore\\logs every time I start the program. they lok like this...

0 [20:07:51:144] Error EnvUtils GrantEveryoneAccessToFile C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\EACore.ini: GetNamedSecurityInfo failure results = 2

1 [20:07:51:971] Error Core::CoreNetworkTransaction LogErrorDocument LogErrorDocument - First 0 bytes of error document:

Got Dragon Age Ultimate from steam it didn't work at first either.
But got it to work and wanted to clear some things up.
Got 2 CD keys one for the Ultimate edition and one for all the DLCs with it
Make sure Dragon Age is closed and not open
The Ultimate edition key is entered on this site under Profile > Registered games and put code with the correct platform that you have. try with dashes at first, (worked for me) if not try without it.
For the DLCs to work enter that second key under Profile > Redeem Promo code enter it in there and without dashes as when i did it with dash no dice!
Start up the game and check your downloaded content and it "might" say unauthorized, mine did but gave it a minute and tab over to buy then back and it cleared up. i suspect all it needed was time to check to the DA servers idk. hope this helps.
Also just some FYI used this on a windows 7 64 bit system

----For Steam buyers this worked for me so here it is from another thread----.
For everyone who is having problems with the DLC on the ultimate edition - I have the answer. I was told what to do by a friend of mine who had the same problem and his worked straight away, didn't thing the same would work for me but gave it a try anyway.

hopefully it will work for everyone else too.

find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.

C:\\\\Program Files \\\\ Steam \\\\ steamapps \\\\ common \\\\ dragon age ultimate edition

once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom, once in there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam, when both have finished start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working.

This is very irritating! I purchased the game. My credit card has been billed. Your executable file prompts me to login to your website and this action disables the content you sold me. Which genius thought this up?!? If my steam account is the one I should use to login in with shouldn't this information be given to the end user prior to screwing everything up?!? One would think so.

Where can I find the correct account information for my login?

My workaround still has Warden's Keep not working... would love to see some progress on this... I have tried everything I've seen online. I need to install the DAupdater Service, but normal avenues aren't working.

Will continue complaining once in a while until we see that fix that has been advertised.
