I'm sorry to hear about the issue you are facing with Dragon Age: Origins download content. This happens when an account which does have access to these items downloads them at any point, and another account logs in (which does not have these entitlements. http://help.dragonag...6&p_faqid=23584).
If you are logged into the same account, then in order to resolve your issue you need to follow the below given steps:
- Shut down Dragon Age: Origins
- In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'
- In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'
- Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'and 'addins.xml'
- Navigate to 'My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder
- Navigate to 'C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\All Users\\\\Application Data\\\\BioWare\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder
- Navigate to 'C:\\\\My Documents\\\\bioware\\\\Dragon Age\\\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder
- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
- Restart Dragon Age: Origins and log in
For Windows Vista/Windows 7 - C:\\Users\\All Users\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\
- Navigate to 'C:\\My Documents\\Bioware\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder
- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'
- Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in
This does not impact saved games. This only deletes all DLC from the system so you may download the content again.
If there is anything else we can help you with please let us know. Additional support can be found on our help site located at http://dragonage.bioware.com/.

Plus if you look above both the initial code and the Redeem code has been entered. I have everything set-up it just will not authorize the new content. I have tried work arounds using installutil but I can't get that to work either.

I've purchased the Ultimate Edition by Internet (EA Stores) and I've received a mail confirming the purchase and giving me a key with 20 digits that let me activate Origins and Awakening but DLCs (downloable content) appear as unauthorized.
I've read you talk about a 16 digit code (promo code) which they didn't send me. Any idea where can I get it?
Thank you in advance.

I have the same problem
and the most awesome thing is when your in the ea help section and try to get in contact they ask you for the product key AND promo code (which is the problem...)

Ya here is the real issue. With steam and win 7 the Daupdatersvc does not get added to services. so you can't start it. I have entered the redeem code but still does not work.

BioWare, I have the same situation, can you answer this please?

I am having the same problem with my cd keys and I went through all those steps and it still dosent work any other ideas?
I followed all those steps. twice. no difference, in fact it made it even worse, because now I can't even see any of the dlc I should supposedly have, let alone authorized. Not a good thing

Looks like I just wasted the $ on this DLC. Can't seem to find anywhere to get this thing to work. It looks like a Steam Windows 7 64 bit issue.

I have used the services console, and determined that the service has not been installed. Numerous attempts at installation have led to the same result. The log says that there is some security issue with the installation, and "rollback".
It would seem the service needs to be installed somehow, but I'm at a loss as to how to do so at this point...

But got it to work and wanted to clear some things up.
Got 2 CD keys one for the Ultimate edition and one for all the DLCs with it
Make sure Dragon Age is closed and not open
The Ultimate edition key is entered on this site under Profile > Registered games and put code with the correct platform that you have. try with dashes at first, (worked for me) if not try without it.
For the DLCs to work enter that second key under Profile > Redeem Promo code enter it in there and without dashes as when i did it with dash no dice!
Start up the game and check your downloaded content and it "might" say unauthorized, mine did but gave it a minute and tab over to buy then back and it cleared up. i suspect all it needed was time to check to the DA servers idk. hope this helps.
Also just some FYI used this on a windows 7 64 bit system
----For Steam buyers this worked for me so here it is from another thread----.
For everyone who is having problems with the DLC on the ultimate edition - I have the answer. I was told what to do by a friend of mine who had the same problem and his worked straight away, didn't thing the same would work for me but gave it a try anyway.
hopefully it will work for everyone else too.
find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.
C:\\\\Program Files \\\\ Steam \\\\ steamapps \\\\ common \\\\ dragon age ultimate edition
once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom, once in there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam, when both have finished start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working.

Will continue complaining once in a while until we see that fix that has been advertised.
