Allright, ladies and gentlemen, here is the solutions.

You bought the game-->Installed It-->Login in Bioware webpage-->Register your Game Key( for updates) and also the Promo Code (The DLC):kissing:

You login to the game (Start the game)-->Saw all DLC are "Unauthorized"-->Patient, Bioware need some times to verified your account. I registered and let it be for one night long and tomorrow wake up and start it again, its all there (Enabled & Authorized).

IF THE DLC IS NOT LISTED, IT WILL PROBABLY NOT FIX IT. IF IT IS LISTED, IT SHOULD FIX IT.

Download this - http://supportfiles....nostic_beta.exe

Run it.

Read the log file.

If it says:

[Sunday Dec 26 10:42:30 2010] rc=0 ; ServiceStatus=NotInstalled]

Wait for it to finish. Then go to Services.msc (Control Panel / Admin / Services)

Refresh services list.

Find "Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater" on the list, right click, and "Start" it.

Load up game, log out (if logged in), log in - all content should be authorized.

(This is a hackier version of Snowysoul's fix. Wish I'd read that first; my bad)

Hey this worked perfectly for me. Thank you!!!

Same problem here. Tried the fix, but no luck with it. Probably because I still had a copy of Dragon Age - Origins installed. So yeah, there I am uninstalling Dragon Age origins (non-steam). WAIT WUT? Somehow it did a great job and removed my Ultimate Edition from Steam instead! So now I'm downloading 15gigs of files again (With my amazing 200kbps speed) and I'll give it a go again tomorrow. If it really takes a while to authorize all DLC I guess when I got all things downloaded again tomorrow it should work anyways. Weird stuff

Steam (and for that matter the EA Download Manager) may see the original and Ultimate Edition as two different games, but from your PC's standpoint, it's the same... the files install in the same directories and, for the most part, use the same registry keys.

- In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'<br />
- Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in<br />

This does not impact saved games. This only deletes all DLC from the system so you may download the content again.<br />

Okay. Finally got it working. Uninstalling Dragon Age Origins (Which caused half of my UE steam files to be missing), redownloaded the missing files for UE using steam. Used the support file (Manual didn't work), and it did give me some errors when creating the service, but well.. it shows up now and all my DLC just authorized. Now it's time to do a proper playthrough with all DLCs before Dragon Age II.

Adante, I am having the exact same issue as you, I am now DLing DA a third time to get it to work. I hope everything works out, for me as it has you.

Did you have to "Instalutil" the "DAUpdaterSvc" after the second download then use the above workaround to get it to authenticate?

Cheers,
Geo

EDIT: Okay DL finished, did the above work around and got the updater to finally work. All DLC is there and activated. Two days of stress, three DL later, and it works.

Thanks to those who posted and created the guide!

I had to uninstall the game before I could redeem the promo code to authorize the DLC. No joke. I tried the code 5 or 6 times over the course of my troubleshooting efforts and it didn't update my entitlements until I was already redownloading the game through Steam and I decided to give it another shot. I keep coming back to Bioware because I like their games, but the *garbage* surrounding all of my attempts to play them is starting to wear me down.

For everyone who is having problems with the DLC on the ultimate edition - I have the answer. I was told what to do by a friend of mine who had the same problem and his worked straight away, didn't thing the same would work for me but gave it a try anyway.

hopefully it will work for everyone else too.

find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.

C:\\Program Files \\ Steam \\ steamapps \\ common \\ dragon age ultimate edition

once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom, once in there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam, when both have finished start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working.

This worked for me. Thanks Snowysoul

So, here I am, trying desperately to get this to work.
A little information to consider:
I recently bought DAUE on Steam. I have Windows 7 64,  I have registered both the CD keys appropriately. I had actually been able to get roughly 35 hours of playtime in. But, somehow, somewhere between shutting down my PC two nights ago around midnight, and starting it up again yesterday, I'm suddenly running into this very same issue. and it is incredibly frustrating.

So, here I am, with my game recognizing that I have the DLC installed, with my Bioware and Steam accounts in good standing, showing me as having the rights to all of the DLC in question, but, when launch DA, and log into the in-game Bioware network, I can't get anywhere due to this authorization issue, I just get to look at my myriad 26-25 hours worth of saved games, that worked no more than two days ago withou an issue.

I could go on, but that's not half as frustrating as the fact that I've gone through literally every. single. fix. offered. With only one minor success. That whole schpiel where you go into the SteamApps folder then run the two DA programs - DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam & DAU_ServiceSetup_Steam? I did that. It worked. Then when I shut down my PC, and re-launched it today, it went back to it's old non-authorized "obviously you've stolen this content that you just shelled out $40 bucks for you thieving terrible man you" - attempting the process again netted me no success. I went down the "services.msc" route. Ran it as an admin. Set my updater to "automatic" hit "Apply" hit "Ok" - badaboom. Everything was going peachy. Ran Dragon Age. Nothing was changed. Went back to services.msc, tried to run the Dragon Age service, everything was grayed out, when I went to close it, I got a message "This is slated for deletion" (or something along those lines). I closed the window, re-opened it, the Dragon Age service program was gone. I tried the various command prompts (again, running it as an admin), again: nothing.

As of right now, I am uninstalling, and reinstalling DAUE via Steam. I've taken my character file and placed it somewhere safe, and once I get everything installed in again, I'm going to drop the file in the proper folder, and hope for the best.

Ultimately, the thing that irritates me the most is that I managed to get 35 hours worth of gameplay in before this issue hit me, and, even after reading several explanations and reasons behind this issue, I honestly cannot comprehend how something this boneheaded can occur on such a regular basis, nor can I comprehend the best tech support available amounting to "... well, that shouldn't happen." as if I wasn't acutely aware of that fact.

 :(

Either way.

Same problem.... (Well, now it's that I get an empty DLC content screen, after having tried a few of these "fixes" and getting further down the rabbit hole.)

Frankly, EA/Bioware/Whoever... If you can't do DLC protection well enough at this stage of release of a year old game to prevent this from happening, on the scale that it is happening, you should simply release all existing DLC for free, unencumbered, and be thankful you work in an industry where errors of this magnitude don't get you fired or sued. There are people here who've paid real money to you and cannot enjoy the game.

Frankly, if I was you, I would be ashamed.

Still no fix for this. Unfortunatley, none of the forums have been any help for my system. W7 64. Just got off the EA support site. Pretty generic answer of "Our engineers are aware of the problem and we hope our Mass Effect 3 previews, Dragon Age 2, and free Mass Effect 2 download (for purchasing DA2) will be enough for you to forget the huge inconvenience."
They did offer me a sweet 20% coupon for my next purchase. Guess its time to pre-order ME3 and wait until this gets resolved... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Got the fix!!! As many have pointed out before, just log into the DA server, minimize the wondow and walk away. I logged on in the morning before work, and left for the day. When I got home all DLC was back to normal and all my save games were accessible. I guess it just takes a while for the DA servers to sort their **** out.

EA users. Read this before "EPIC FAIL"

I spent 2 days downloading "Ultimate Edition & Dragonage 2" ((At the same time)) Finally get off work and its completed. Log on to the game says the content was "Unautherized" okay, no problem I log into the website, Open a 2nd tab with my email confirmation code. Register the ultimate edition. Also use the promo code. It tells me it takes it successfully. I log outta the game. Wait 5 mins and log  back into the game and it still says that its unautherized. ((Highly anoying))

So like a idiot. I uninstall the game from my control panel:Uninstall game from the uninstall  menu. I assume that naturally after 2 freaking days of installing this game from stream. That the game itself is saved into the EA download manager and all that is needed of me is to simply install the game again from the system.((Expecting to not have to download from the EA manager again)).........W R O N G!   I am now installing the entire dang game over again from scratch. Lucky for me I don't have to download dragonage 2 again.

Just posting to save everybody some anger and failure of time on this.((at this point using my discount coupons seem useless from the time spent waiting and downloading. I should have just bought the game at Gamestop and used the disk.....))

I'll reply again soon to see if this issue has been fixed. ((after my long download hs been completed.))

Hi guys,

OK, I had until today when I chose to read this post the same issue as you all. Win 7 64 bit machine, DAO Ultimate bought from STEAM.

I started to play and noticed that in the downloaded content I had all the items marked enabled but the account was not authorized.

So, after I read some post I saw one that pointed to the REDEEM CODE. So, my friends, this was the key for me. I had already the ac**** on bioware created, same e-mail address as steam account. I copied from the steam the DLC code (wiht the "-" sign included in the key) and pasted in the section: Profile/Redeem Promo Code. Once I did that, all the content from my game appeared in the list.

I launched the game from steam and went to the Downloadable Content and here all the contet was now cleared from that not authorized mention.

So... that is all. Nothing more to be done!

Hope it will appear also in game content.

Regards,
Lepsulet

This is very irritating! I purchased the game. My credit card has been billed. Your executable file prompts me to login to your website and this action disables the content you sold me. Which genius thought this up?!? If my steam account is the one I should use to login in with shouldn't this information be given to the end user prior to screwing everything up?!? One would think so.<br />
<br />
Where can I find the correct account information for my login?

Thank you, this worked :). Wish there was rep here so I could rep you.

Yeah this worked for me as well. However THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT PAYING CUSTOMERS? If I was a computer luddite like most people out there I wouldn't have been able to follow this. Makes me think twice about purchasing Mass Effect 3 when it comes out. Likely will be easier aquiring it over P2P.
