You are in a peer support forum. EA support is at support.ea.com if you are attempting to send a message to EA. If you would like some help getting it running there is a solutions round up thread pinned to the top and a "read first" thread with posting guidelines.

Ahem perhaps you should actually read my post? I have ALREADY TRIED all solutions pertaining to this issue.

Is that more clear now?

And you are still yelling at other gamers who might be able to help you fix it were you to make a post with what you tried and the results of those efforts, not BW or EA staff, or anyone who was in any way responsible for programming, fixing or officially supporting the game. I was actually attempting to direct you at the place to complain should you actually want someone other than fellow gamers to know you are upset, and suggesting how to get help here that might get it working should you want to play the game you paid for.

Is that more clear now?

Yes because complaining to EA always works (See Crysis 2 and Steam, See past EA buisiness practices, see BF3 etc.). At least fellow gamers halfway understand the frustration. Besides only half of the post was complaining in a way that would be directed to EA or BW. No matter, for whatever reason though when I turned my PC on this morning to play DAO, the DLC did actually end up working. And yes I had tried restarting before, I think the DRM decides when it wants you to have it.

Try using Snowysoul advice? For me it didn't work at first and I was like wtf. I dunno what changed really. Perhaps i just needed to restart the game without being logged in and then logging in? I went away and ate dinner then came back. Perhaps it just needed time to refresh? Dunno what the case of it was, just try fiddling it logging in and out after following Snowysoul and restarting the game. In the end I can personally say that this worked. It did however take much longer then it should have.

The end result of it worked though. I wish you luck Dark Roji. I know you said you tried everything, you try restarting without have logged in? Try things at like 5 minute intervals, I think it finished refreshing about 5-10 minutes after i got annoyed and was looking online for the fix. Anyways props to Snowysoul, wish there was a +rep system =p. Good luck Dark.

My situation:
Steam, Ultimate Ed. DA:Origins
+ Other DLC

Installed game on new PC, Win7 Prof, 64
DLC not visible.

Solution:
1.Close game.
2. Close steam. (Also make sure it is not running passively.)
3. Right click on steam (run icon), under the menus, check where it says "run as administrator", and hit "apply".
4. Start steam, start game. DLC visible, downloads auto/or u can click "download", so it starts.

Spent a couple of days on this with my old pc, and gave up. Figured I'd give it a try on the new one (awesome graphics and all.. :) ), and stumbled over this link on the forums:

http://dragonage.wik.../Bugs_(Origins)

Hope this helps somebody.

The solution is also linked in the solutions round-up thread pinned to the top of the forum. As there are a number of things that can cause DLC to not authenticate properly, it is probably a better place to start.

I have been successful in resolving this issue by installng the game via Origin and using the latest patch 1.05

I confirm that this path has worked perfectly; didn't see any side effects with this patch on (Win7, 32 bit)

I have also wrote some overview notes here (social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/58/index/8069609/1#8070498) so that people new to the issue can easily uninstall from Steam and re-install with Origin + eventually use this latest patch 1.05 that resolves the issue.

ciao,
Patrick

For Win7-64 (and maybe others)

If you have purchased DA:O Ultimate or DA:O Deluxe Edition from Steam and are having trouble with unauth'd content.

Assuming you have entered your promo code, registered on the BioWare website, etc, so that at least when viewing from the site you appear to have everything you wanted paid for and registered (explained elsewhere in this thread):

*Right-click My Computer, select 'Manage'
*From the list at the left select 'Services and Applications'
*Select 'Services' in the main window
*From the list of services find 'Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater', right-click and select Properties
*Change 'Startup type' to 'Automatic' and also manually start the service by click the 'Start' button on the left
*Wait for the service to start - you should see 'Service status: Started'
*Run Dragon Age and check your DLC are all auth'd
*Curse EA and BioWare for require a *Windows service* to validate content, like swatting a fly with a 2x4 (for crying out loud)

This last step is important.

The service will shut down after you quit Dragon Age for the first time. For the moment it appears that your content will remain available regardless, but should it become unauth'd again (for example if you log in with a different account), repeat the above steps.

If anyone finds this does *not* work for them, post your results here please.

I have the Ultimate edition bought from Steam and the following fixed my problem. Thank you Snowysoul for helping me with this clearly broken DRM.

Snowysoul wrote...

Got Dragon Age Ultimate from steam it didn't work at first either.
But got it to work and wanted to clear some things up.
Got 2 CD keys one for the Ultimate edition and one for all the DLCs with it
Make sure Dragon Age is closed and not open
The Ultimate edition key is entered on this site under Profile > Registered games and put code with the correct platform that you have. try with dashes at first, (worked for me) if not try without it.
For the DLCs to work enter that second key under Profile > Redeem Promo code enter it in there and without dashes as when i did it with dash no dice!
Start up the game and check your downloaded content and it "might" say unauthorized, mine did but gave it a minute and tab over to buy then back and it cleared up. i suspect all it needed was time to check to the DA servers idk. hope this helps.
Also just some FYI used this on a windows 7 64 bit system

----For Steam buyers this worked for me so here it is from another thread----.
For everyone who is having problems with the DLC on the ultimate edition - I have the answer. I was told what to do by a friend of mine who had the same problem and his worked straight away, didn't thing the same would work for me but gave it a try anyway.

hopefully it will work for everyone else too.

find your dragon age folder, you may have saved it else where but this is how I find mine.

C:\\Program Files \\ Steam \\ steamapps \\ common \\ dragon age ultimate edition

once your in there find the file that says REDIST should be near the bottom, once in there run the file that says DAOU_UpdateAddinsXML_Steam when that finishes run the other file called DAUServiceSetup_Steam, when both have finished start up your dragon age ultimate and hopefully everything should be working.

Clarification: there are not two "CD keys". There is one "CD key" which is to validate the game (traditionally the disc). The second is a "redeem code" for the DLC. I find that using the correct terms helps avoid confusion and mistakes.
