What are some of the best mods in the game you can recommend? I recommend improved atmosphere(search at dragonage nexus). What are some of the mods that realy make the game more fun? Armor? Quests? Textures?

A topic after my own heart!  Here's a list of the one's I'd recommend:

Absolute Favorite
RAVAge - This will make every replay of DA exciting and new by adding enemies to many of the encounters (as well as a few in places you don't expect) and also adding cool new drops of items with random stats on them (making looting actually fun again).  It's highly configurable so you can easily set it up to your liking (harder enemies or no new enemies at all and options for how much new loot, if any, you want to see drop).

General
Character Respec - allows you to respec your warden or any of their companions to give them the skills, talents, and spells YOU want vs whatever they came "pre-set" with when they joined up with you
No Helmet Hack - great for getting rid of those pesky helmets from being displayed while still allowing your characters to wear them
Phoenix Armory for females - simply a beautiful set of weapons and armor
Skip the Fade - for those of us who have done dozens of playthroughs and longer enjoy the Fade

Appearance
Natural Bodies All in One or (if you're like me and can't use the DAModder) just Natural Bodies
Dalls Justice - (for Awakening) makes him look a little less revolting
Vibrant Colors

Alistair Fans
Alistair's Kiss
First Night
Improved Romance Scenes - adds several very tastefully done intimate scenes, fixes some dialog, and even adds a hug that can be initiated at any time (like the standard kiss)
The Royal Wedding

Absolutely Autoloot and Advanced Quickbar from convenience mods.

Dalish Mage origin is well executed as well.

Dragon Age redesigned - (I prefer lore settings) makes characters more real looking - I really like the handywork of the modder.

I also have to support Tigress M by saying that The Royal Wedding was quite nice addition to the story, made me feel warm and fuzzy.

I'm testing at the moment Karma's companions and so far I'm quite impressed.

I came to the conclusion that Extra dog slot is great on one of my playthroughs but I decided to put it away as having a fifth member in the team makes everything easier and I like challenge. Summoning portal is quite handy if not excessively used. Two spec Sten makes him marginally more useful.

I am wary of many of the weapon and equipment mods. I do not like overpowered items and many are excessively effective: it takes the fun out of the game when you can do Drizzt Do'Urdens (in BG1) and kill your enemy with one blow.

Camp Storage Chest gives you a storage chest in camp
Cousland Sword and Shield plus other items
Allows material upgrades for unique items like the aforementioned sword and shield.  Used with
The Magic Box another chest in camp but upgrades materials based on level.

Does RAVAge increase the drops/difficulty of normal quest monsters, or just random encounters?

I have played a few mods. The ones I have particularly enjoyed are Alley of Murders, Ser Gilmore, Bloodworks and more recently Dark Times: the Confederacy of Malkuth.

The Respec mod is my top pick; exitremely helpful

Extra Dog Slot and Lock Bash mods are very good, but not flawless. I can lose the Dog icon occasionally which restricts healing options, and have been unable to configure Bashing as I would like.

Alternative Arms and Armor Tints. Makes armors and arms actually look like the material they are made of. Lower-tier armor looks "cheaper", while higher-tier armor looks more precious. For example, iron looks like iron, steel looks like steel, silverite looks... silverish, etc. Dragon armors are greenish-black with gold finish. Same for weapons. And you can select which tints to use and which not.

Do any this mods conflict with each others?

Alistair's Kiss
First Night
Improved Romance Scenes
The Royal Wedding
Alley of Murders
Ser Gilmore
Bloodworks
Dark Times: the Confederacy of Malkuth

I just bought the games, so I do not know if I should get them before or after one of my runs.
Thank for your answers guys!

Basically, the best thing is to first do a "vanilla" run to see how the game is meant to be. Then, you may decide what you don't like and change it...

@Huntress - I agree with Marvin. Do at least one unmodded run so you can get a true feel of how the developers designed the game. Then, you can fill in the gaps with other mods.

The mods I listed all work well with each other, but some of them needed some tweaking (thankfully, those that do are pretty well detailed so just pay close attention to the instructions).

Qwinn's is a 'must have' imho. It cleans up a lot of petty annoyances, alters game balance not at all and plays well with the patches.

Vibrant colours (linked above) is also a 'must have'. It merely turns character creation from 10 to 11.

I can't recommend Dragon Age Redesigned enough, beautiful reworking of almost all the characters and NPCs. I'd second Qwinn's fixpack.

White Teeth! - an immediate must-have.

Circles Be Gone - Get rid of those yellow and red circles!  Targeted enemies will still have it for backstabbing purposes, though.

slink's RavAGE - great addition to adjust difficulty, but wait until you've played the game first.

Skip the Fade - You should not install this until playthrough number two, though.

Dark Times Act 1 - Great new addition to Origins, this is part 1 of 5.  It's now an integral part of Origins for me!

Extra Dog Slot - Have Dog as a fifth party member, which is great.

Tigress covered the Alistair stuff in the second post on this thread, but there are a couple of dialog restoring mods that fix some of the talk and actions:

Zevran Dialog Fix

Morrigan Restoration Patch

IRS - Alistair - Not only has romance, but dialog fixes, as well.

Qwinn's dialog fixpack hasn't been updated, and other mods have taken over. I don't use it since it conflicts so much with other mods and is outdated.  The previous three mods will all work together nicely by reading and following the readme files.

Dark Times: The Confederacy of Malkuth [best New World/Companion mod]

class and Specialisation mod [Offkorn's finest work IMHO]

Jojjo Weapons [deliciously colourful blades and shields]

Ser Gilmore Joinable NPC [surely the deepest companion mod out there]

Slink's RavAGE [highly configurable game-expanding mod ensuring endless replayability]

The Icons Project [beautifully revamped icons]

The Phoenix Armory [highly detailed femme armours, some of my personal faves]

Sappho's Daughters and all of its offspring [late-night girl-on-girl thrills - I am what I am!]

The Winter Forge [great for customising armour and weapons]

Universal Dye Kit [excellent for retinting your gear, unfortunately not yet universal]

Vigil Vendor aka The Traveler [you want it, she's got it - pretty much]

And, oh yeah, my latest addition: Add Any Item Visual Deluxe [gives you the lot!]

Also BGR2 [admired, but not yet played - my bad!]

And there are others I'm enjoying too, but they're for another list!

So nice to see another mod supporter!!! :-)

1) Dark Times: Act 1
social.bioware.com/project/2157/#details

This is a must have! This is by far one of the best mods out there. It has an engaging story that weaves seamlessly into the game lore. The areas are beautiful, the quests are fun! And when you are finished it leaves you wanting **MORE**

2)  Alley Of Murders
social.bioware.com/project/1398/

Another fun mod, that weaves well into the game! Highly underrated!

3) Bloodworks!
social.bioware.com/project/2101/

Another great mod! Very fun & full of suprises!

4) Castle Cousland
www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php

Though not as great as some of the others. Its still very fun and packs a powerful punch if you play as a noble

5) King Calenhad's Tomb
www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php

A little rough around the edges but still very fun and challenging.

6) Temple of Vulak
www.dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php

Possibly the single most difficult mod ever!  If you like a challenge then this is for you. Pure Grade A Hell but you get some great loot in the process.

I'm sure this will be added to my list shortly, from what I've seen of it. It's just that I haven't gotten around to playing it yet. It's next on my schedule after I've finished with Dark Times.

Oh, it will be. I endorsed on the strength of the pics and videos alone. My apologies if I've breached some rating protocol. It is my usual practice to endorse after playing/trying a mod, but in this case I was just trying to show my support. I shall add BGR2 soonest. :)
