The majority of litho fans who would consider buying ebay listings read these topics and this board.
You're hardly marketing yourself well to them. Come November ebay will be awash with these things, and I don't think anyone from the BSN will choose to deal with you ahead of someone else.
I hope you have room on your wall for all 9 lithos.
good thing I've got three ebay account too!

Oh, and the fact that the lithos were so widely announced encourages more of these people to come and flip them, so effectively there are less lithos for more fans.

Case in point being this whole new multi stage release system in use now. The point of it being to create a more ideal window for anyone especially the regulars, no matter where they live around the world or what thier schedules are, to have a better chance to pick up the lithos.
In principle it's a solid idea, but any gains it made were totally wiped out by making a big old grand announcement and advertising them. There are only 500 of these things, they surely have no need to be advertised like they were.
I don't see where Bioware or Biowarestore gains anything if they sell out in 13 minutes as compared to 5 or 6 hours if they shut up about it. It's still a sell out and the regular fans have a much better shot at picking them up, which was kind of the point in the first place. Plus, little or no advertising keeps away a lot of these people that just show up to make a buck off of them.

I don't think there is any surefire way to eliminate people like this Troll McTroll here, but it would help if the Biowarestore stopped thier counterproductive campaign in it's tracks. Every big litho release, at least a few regular collectors come up short for one reason or another, so a flood of complaints and requests come in for this to change or that to change to help the situation.

Or just flat-out restrict first-week purchases to one and give buyers the option to ask the BS to hold shipment if they intend to buy more after the first week to save shipping costs. I know I am a notorious multiple-litho buyer, but with the new policy of giving multiple release times far in advance, I really have no reason to buy multiples anymore.

I think what the BS should do is monitor the lithos listed on ebay and restrict those who resell within a certain time period after release to a max of one of each litho in the first week for new forthcoming releases
The problem is that other than guys like WangChungofett there, they have no way of telling which Ebayer, is which buyer. Most are going to use different names, no address to view, etc.,

I honestly don't think it's the store's place to police what people do with their private property.
Hmm.. It's sad to bring this up but even the Gamestops place limits on how many of a single collector's edition you can preorder. Part of it is also trying to make sure people do have access to it. If these were not collector's items and already limited, there would be no reason to put a cap on them in the first place.
@Slim ~ At first I thought your account had been hacked until I read that last line.... I'm still surprised but I agree with you there. Limit of one is fairest to all.

Though, I think just going with what I said in the 2nd paragraph is much more fair and easier to do. If you want more than one for whatever reason, everyone should get a chance to grab one before you can. Obviously, there are ways around everything, but I think this would go a long way. Any reseller worth his gravy can have a separate payment method and delivery address to use, but will they have 5 or 6? I doubt it. And right now, all you need is one alternate to buy 6 sets.

Well, as with most things, several of us (forum regulars) mentioned the 1-cap numerous times in the past. It actually was up in (nearly) every discussion about limitation and in (nearly) every discussion that followed a release which left many potential customers. Only as a side note and a reminder that this topic isn't up for the first time (more like the 6th or 7th).
It's almost like Groundhog Day with all of the deja vu.

Yes, that's fine, but monitoring eBay to ensure no one who bought more than 1 is scalping them is not the situation you're presenting with Gamestop.

Its just pointless to release 100 at a time then allow a 3 limit policy. It makes a ridiculously limited release even more limited. Which makes your customers unhappy.
As for resellers, once the item is in their hands they have the right to do whatever they want with it. They own it. In no way can Biowarestore do anything about it at that point nor do they have the right to. Some of you guys are letting yourselves dip into extremism over this.
