I don't think they've "earned" these rewards - ME2 wasn't some masterpiece, it was a fairly enjoyable, not outstanding, shooter.
Okay... you don't think they should have won a completely pointless internet award.... but they did, sooooo..... what is the point of posting? What does it, specifically, accomplish? I mean, I don't put much stock in internet awards.... but it's not like I'm going to be a dick just to be a dick.
Honestly, what does it accomplish to say that you don't think they deserved something they did win?

Quoting out of context sure is fun, bro.
Especially things from a page or two earlier in the thread.

How could it possibly have won an award?!? Especially when the awards were determined by users (1.5 mil) no less?
I imagine we'll be seeing a good deal more of this as the various sites start handing them out.

Are you seriously asking? The forums are not a good way for people to get perspective on a whole. As popular as Tali is here, I imagine more gamers went for Miranda, instead. I could be wrong. ME2 wasn't a disappointment by most people's judgement--just some very vocal dissenters here. Once DA2 was announced, you'd think they should've cancelled the game immediately what with the way the forums shrieked and carried on.
And, again. Whether you think they're deserving or not belongs in another thread, wouldn't you say? Maybe I should alter the title...

Forums are always dens of negativity, go to any single dev forum. Blizzard, Bungie, whatever - they're all about how the devs have ruined X and Y.

No, no I'm not seriously asking, hence my use of caps and exclamation points.

I couldn't tell, sorry. And...well, I have seen people type like that without irony. I apologize!

I'm disappointed that they didn't win best soundtrack-not even place in top three. Did they even listen to it?? To me, an amazing soundtrack is one of the hallmarks for Bioware's games, and I'm sad to see it lose out to FFXIII (which had a crappy soundtrack and just won because of all the FFXIII fans).
Lol, irony.
Yes, but ME2 won because it was really, really, kickass. It got near-perfect reviews almost everywhere. FFXIII wasn't that good of a FF game. Wasn't that great as far as general gaming is considered, tbh. The franchise has had some great ones, but 13 was a bummer, and IMO it coasted on the other games sucesses
Lol, more irony.
Here's a protip: mainstream game reviews are worthless.
Protip: Golden joysticks winners are elected by fans.

DA:O won over 30 game of the year awards (source DA site). I think it already has pulled in it´s share.Terastar wrote...
Bioware this is just one of many awards coming your way. You do good work for us role playing gamers. I think it would be icing on the cake if DAO could pull in it's share of awards for you. All have been excellent as far as I am concerned. Keep up the good work.
But congratulations to the ME team anyway.

I am aware of that.
He pointed to reviews as justification, however, which is absurd.

We may not agree on 'reviews', but what about 'feedback' ?
You can't argue that the majority of gamers didn't like ME2 more than ME1.

Most mainstream reviewing sites also allow fans to post their reviews and rate a game.

No, I can't argue that, but I can indeed argue that I did not like ME2 more than ME1 (or, indeed, more than several other games that came out this year).
