2 x 2 area crashes when transition to a way point in the area.

Hi All,

Can someone confirm that when transfering from a door to a way point in a 2x2 area or even better 1 x 1 area  in NWN2 crashes.

For example I have a door and its set to transition to a 2x2 area called test area via a waypoint call nw_testpoint. It acts like its loading the area then crashes.

Can someone confirm or deny my statement.

Questions:



- This is an interior area correct?

- Is the new area baked?

- Is the entry waypoint pulled away from the wall a bit?

- Do you have an "empty/blank" ring of tiles around your interior area (if not add one, rebake and try again)?

Yes to all the above. But as soon as I modify the area to a 2x2 its works. I missed type my first message it should be a 2x1. Have you tried it yet?

Yes, it's broken (iirc it's only on ati vid cards, which I have), the game engine gets messed up on where you "land" inside the area. Make the area 3x3 or larger, you don't have to use all the tiles.

Thanks dor your response kamalope. I was about to get violent JK LOL. It's good to know for design purposes because people use ATI and NVIDIA cards best to be safe when designing a module so that all can enjoy.
