I have bought the new ultimate edition of dragon age. I install the two discs. When playing the game, I have no access to my DLC. I go to the DLC menu, and it says that they are not authorized. I got to the bioware website put in my promotional code (i thought that was the problem). After putting in the code, it still stays that the DLC is not authorized. :(Somone please help

There are several work arounds in various threads on the first page of this forum. I am in the exact same boat. I have, I have uninstalled, reinstalled this game 20 times or so now. Switched off the installer then back on several times, and that seems to be working fine anyway. I have even tried installing on another computer to check for compatibility issues with no joy.
In the end I emailed ea support, but with it being weekend i do not expect a reply for a few days, so i'll let it rest till then. I have a sinking feeling though about how this will pan out, and the whole issue leaves such a sour taste. It is a shame that the dlc management is of a kindergarten level, because this is a great game, with or without the extras. Unfortunately when your whole point of buying it is for the extras and seeing absolutely no useful authoritative replies, outside of (uninstall/install), (logout/login) anywhere, I can only come to the conclusion that customers are $ not people.
I hope you resolve your problems soon, and hope even more that everyone can resolve their problems in a timely manner.

I too bought DA Ultimate Ed and was having a horrible time trying to get the DLCs to "Authorize" - for myself it was because the game installed to a non-default path - therefore the 'invasive' EA Core Server didn't trigger - here are some threads that helped me solve it:

On a side note, I saw that blood dragon armour was free, so i clicked download, and after a few seconds, that moved from unauthorised and worked in game. It also showed up immediately in my registered game promos. The cd key is definately registered in my updater, and the game is definately registered in my games. Though the blood armour, and various extras for other games which i have never had any problems with. Should there have been a redeem code in the box i am lacking, the ease at which i could redeem the blood armour left me even more bemused, but I have given up on my side for now. Surely a redeem code tied to the cd key to unlock everything would be the easiest way out of this mess.

I too had the dreaded "not authorized" scenario. As long as the dlc is installed you can try editing your XML. Go to documents>bioware>dragon age>settings and right click the Addins and select open with and then select notepad when notepad opens scroll down and for the dlcs look for "requiresAuthorization" and change the 1 to a 0 when finished click file and save. Then exit and close everything and retry game and dlcs
