Just wondering if there was some epic Samara/Morinth concept art out there. That screenshot was about all I could find.

This was probably asked already, but...does 400 Citadel lithos mean that there's still 100 left that might be sold in the future? (same for Illium)

it means how many were printed in total. So there were only 400 citadel's printed

Has Tali actually completely sold out? Isn't there 100 still somewhere, or has my counting gone wrong somewhere?

There should be 100 left. Question is, if they keep them for replacements or sell them.

They couldn't keep them as replacements. If they did the total number of lithos should be only 400 not 500, because 400 were available for purchase.

they always keep some for replacement. The total number is still 500 as that is how many were printed. This is the way they have done all of the lithos. The only difference being that 100 is more than normal for them to hold back. If after replacing damaged lithos they have any left they will sell of the rest at a later date.

I thought they were supposed to replace ruined lithos with the same number. I have never done it so I don't know. So you are telling me, if you get #1/500 and it is ruined you get a new number when they send replacements. So for any given litho, the number it says it is out of is actually wrong? If true, huh, odd way of doing things.

Did you see me say anything about demanding, did you? If it is their fault that their product gets damaged, because of their packaging, I "believe" they should replace litho and number. I am not saying that they have to.
If you don't care about the number buy the mini-lithos, the number is what makes them collectible.

Oh, and off topic, did you know that your name, plus a few usernames on this board, are being used by a eBay seller, all the names put together in one large name, I wonder who that is?

we all know who that is it is very well known if you follow these forums. It is also a result of a conversation that was asked to be left alone by the moderators.

The way they do replacements is not odd or strange 500 total were created over time these will become damaged lost destroyed whatever it would be odd if they did replace every damaged one with the exact same number things happen and bioware/treehouse can't always control it. I understand that you may feel damage in shipment of a new item is different than the wear/tear of years but in the end it doesn't change the end result.

As for the number being what makes them collectible that is nuts. What makes them collectible is the limited edition of them even if they had no number or signature they would still be collectible because there are so few of them printed. Just as the Collector's edition of the game is collectible. They are neither numbered nor signed and yet people want them because they are limited in production.

I am not here to argue, but it is hard when all of the replies are of this nature, condescending. Opinion is not wanted, and the cliques that have formed in the different threads make it difficult to voice one, if you have one. Also, I know there is quite a bit a hatred directed towards eBay sellers, and it is starting to infect the tone of peoples replies.

So I guess to end this line of discussion, I now know that is how they do it, I would do it differently.

I'll be honest, I've seen ppl discuss what number they get and never understood it. I wouldnt pay a penny more for a #18 over a #188. Now, maybe a #1 or a #500/500 or something would be pretty cool but aside from that, I dont understand the fascination.

I have to admit when I get a lower # I get some slight happiness about it (especially if it is lower than a co-workers), but other than that I don't particular care.  I am just happy to have it.

The only number I think is really special is #1, that is the only one I could see paying a bit more for, but I agree, what number really doesn't matter to me.

I apologize if i offended you my reply was not intended to sound condescending or to defend any kind of clique.  I was simply trying to inform you of the way they replace lithos and the reasoning behind it.  My use of the terms strange or odd were simply following your own.

As far as my statements about Number being what makes them collectible being nuts you are correct that is my opinion.  You yourself say you don't care about the number and yet you state that the number is what makes it collectible.  I don't understand your logic.

One of the reasons things like these are numbered to begin with is to help ensure they are legit if somehow there are 2 lithos numbered the same it would make it obvious that either 1 is a fake or the artist made a mistake numbering them.  The second hopefully being caught and corrected prior to selling the lithos.

But to say that the number is the only thing making it collectible just doesn't make sense.  As another example that would be like saying a rookie Babe Ruth baseball card isn't collectible because it isn't numbered XX/1,000,000 or something.  Things are collectible because people desire them not because of some arbitrary number.  Again this is my OPINION not a statement of fact.

I see what you are saying, and I think it boils down to what you believe makes something collectible, this could be discussed until the internet ran out of room for our conversation, and neither of us would probably change our minds.

Can someone explain the numbering for me? Now, i say this because a number 1/500 of a litho was being sold as such on ebay, and for quite a sum. He stated the importance of the number in the description, saying it was the first off the press. Is that the case, or is it simply just the first signed when the lot were handed to the artist? Sorry if its already been explained, i was just wondering if what he said was true. Number means little to me, especially after losing out on Tali lol, im just grateful at getting one i want.

Also, not looking forward to the december releases lol, trouble with Tali has put me right off. Wonder what my chances of snatching a Morrigan and Legion are...

They are definitely not "first off the press". They actually print quite a few, adjusting colors and other aspects until it is considered perfect. Then the amount is taken from the batch that was considered perfect. The "1" is merely thought to be the first one signed (but then, if I were an artist, I'd sign 500 first and go backwards so I'd always know how many more painful signatures I have left to sign). There is no way knowing what method the artist is using when numbering or which was first of the batch (I believe there is actually more than 500 printed anyways in case of signing/numbering errors and the like).

Do we know if they plan on releasing any Reaper lithos, I think it would go great opposite the Normandy litho? And along those lines, are there any plans that we know of for other space stations, or spaceships?

I think one of the Shadow Broker ship in orbit above Hagalaz would be awesome. That ship is very cool and I think the colours of the litho would be very nice as well.
