I've occasionally accidentally posted the exact same post twice or more (due to a combination of my crappy internet and not being sure whether the form has actually submitted).

Some method of preventing this would be nice.

A couple of options I can see are:

1. If two posts containing the exact same content are posted by a user within, say, 5 minutes of each other, ignore the second one.
2. Generate a unique ID (including timestamp and user) for each submit form displayed - if multiple posts with the same UID come in, drop all but the first.

"Please wait 5 seconds before posting again"
Which if it shows up you know you already posted.
Or we could just have a delete post option.
