Sorry about that. Duh! The only problem is that I can not find how to include them in game. I have: me2+CerberusArc, ME2+CerberusWpnArmor, MW2_EqualizerPack, ME2_Hammerhead, ME2_NormandyCrash and ME2_Zaeed. The system is: Intel i7 Quad Core, 8g Ram, ATI Radeon Sapphirer 5870 VGA, Dual DVD R/W, Dual Acer 26" HD Monitors, 1T HD, 80G SSHD Boot Drive. PCPitstop rated it in the top 16%
Did you register your cerberus code with your account?
If yes then you need to log in with ME2 menu game, after you are identified, all the DLC you have instaled will be takken in your games playthrough.
You don't need to be online to play with the DLC, but you will need this identification every time you instal new DLC or change the computer you play with.
You can't play DLC (free or not free DLC) if you don't have a cerberus network, every brand new game have a free code (or should have) inside the box (if not, contact EA support), if it's second hand game, you can buy a new one for 1200points.

Pro tip: type the exact error message into Google ;-) You will find the answer AND find out how good it feels to solve a (well known) problem by yourself ;-)

I've had a look around on here already, changing my auto log in to manual. I've look at getting the unofficial 'fix' but I think it will just cause more problems with signing in. Besides, I've not screwed anything up. So, is this authorization issue known about by Bioware and EA? And if so, are they taking measures to fix it? I would be interested to know, not only as a Mass Effect 2 player who would like to play the DLC, but also as a gaming journalist. It's amazing they can charge loyal fans for DLC and then have the system not work because of authorization issues. Bit of a rip off, eh?

Therefore I deem it OK to recommend the crack, as it solves the "DLC cannot be authorized"-problems faster and more reliably than anything official. But yes, the crack makes it necessary keep ME2 off the net and has to be reapplied after a new DLC install. Basically jail-breaking you from the official DRM-system, but locking you into the cracked game version. I am curious how people see the cons of that, considering the huge pro of being able to play the DLC you purchased ;-)

Well Bioware and EA may not own up and give a refund or patch; but I used American Express to make the purchase. All I have to do is contact them and report fraud and they will give me money back and deal with Bioware and it selling software that does not work. So if this is monitored, that is my next step unless somebody tells me how to legally make what I bought work.

Funny I did just that and found tons of results tried the reg edits as well as many other supposed fixes with no luck. Regretfully I don't have a machine not running Windows 7 64 bit to install it on and then copy over the DLC files. Also according to many solutions it works flawlessly for others using WIndows 7 64 bit after DL ME2 form steam yet for me it is still giving me the ME2 not installed error message. As a Pro to a Pro offering a solution rather than assuming one did not search is much more professional.

http://social.biowar...06/index/834445 will help you. Next time, please just google the error message and you'll find that this problem is well known and easily solvable.Zethril wrote...
I have been trying to install the DLC I bought on my Win7 machine and it keeps saying that it cannot detect ME2 as being loaded on the system. My system far exceeds recommended specs and the game is registered. ME2 plays fine with no issues on my Win7 machine. I just spent $20 for DLC.
Good idea: put some real pressure on BioWare and EA to help their customers fix this problem. Obviously complaints in the forums don't work.Zethril wrote...

Yeah, pressure from (gaming?) publications might be good, too :-)Robo001red wrote...
I'll forward what has happened to my editor and see what he thinks. Would be good to get it out there; so people hear about the problem and don't waste their money.
Giving up on it, when a DIY-fix just takes a minute or so is kind of lame.Robo001red wrote...
I can't really be bothered going through all the hassle of getting it fixed though - it's just not good enough for this to happen to such huge developers. I've got loads of other games to get on with and I've done the main game. Pity, I was really getting into it.
My apologies, I didn't know you meant a Win7 64bit system, since you didn't specify that in your first post. On the other hand, the assumption that a person did not search before posting is correct in the majority of all cases (based on the feedback I get) ;-)SeanDSullivan wrote...

I bought, downloaded and installed some DLC for Mass Effect 2 - Shadow Broker and alternate appearance pack 1. I thought everything was fine, but when I try to start the game to enjoy the content, I get this message: 'Unable to authorize the listed DLC. Please log into Cerberus Network with the account used to purchase the DLC.'

I really hope you aren't a real journalist and are just somebody who writes articles for your friends website or something. It would depress me if journalists write such tripe on forums.
There are several threads on this forum regarding authorization issues and yes they are known to the developer. Most Authorization issues are the result of human error and/or piracy none of which is the fault of the developer or the publisher. What you are saying is ridiculous unless the problem is happening to every single player which it isn't. There are several threads and several fixes available i suggest you do some "journalism" and research them.

And what proof do you have for that? Considering thousands of people download DLC on a daily basis and it works fine you really have no proof that Bioware/EA are selling software that does not work because it does.
Quit talking nonsense and throwing a hissy fit because you can't figure out how to look up a fix for your problem and are instead crying foul with no evidence.

everything works, but after installing Firepower Pack, when I try (every time) to go into the weapons locker anywhere an change weapons for john an others, it would freeze on john and crash with everyone else (every ****ing time, even after I uninstall ASUS TurboV an ASUS Smart Doctor, it still doesn't work).
I say we complain an demand Bioware an EA Games about this an demand a new patch to fix it!!!
And while you're at it why not add some more to your list of demands. I'm sure everyone will be happy to take time from their busy scheduale of 12 hour days (if you are one of the lucky ones that is)
Just to address your personal problems which you are having with the game.

Neither will douchebaggrey and rudeness.
All it does is give me a migraine and i'm on my christmas/new year break so i am supposed to be free from stress. From Jan 2nd onwards people are free to stress me all they want.
