Of the stuff going right now, The Daily Show and Colbert Report. Relevant comedy poking fun at the utter ridiculousness of the world.
The old Bruce Timm DCAU, espesially Batman the Animated Series, is right up there. That to me is basically proof that superhero cartoons can be true art. Beast Wars was great to. And Avatar the Last Airbender was great. Looking foward to The Legend of Korra. To bad they gave the movie to M Night.
I'm also liking the new Avengers Earth's Mightiest Heroes cartoon. Off to a good start.
Edit: How did I forget M*A*S*H?

I guess when I did watch TV ( when I had the time) it would have been a mixture of the History Channel, CSI Miami, The Third Watch, Burn Notice, Dexter, old Soprano episodes, Cartoon Network, Law and Order: Spec. Vic. Unit.

1. Smallville (I've got seasons 1-9)
2. Supernatural (1-4, getting 5 soon)
3. Kolchak: The Night Stalker (Not the one that came out in 2003, that one was terrible*IMO*. I mean Darren McGavin gloriousness).
4.Frisky Dingo (Have seasons 1 and 2, love it)
5. Spider-man (Both the 60's and 90's cartoons - I don't have any seasons, just random episodes on seperate discs).
6. MTV Live (It entertains my small mind.)
That's about it I think. I don't even watch this stuff on tv either, I just buy the seasons. *Except MTV Live*.

1. 24 - this is the show that got me to watch TV in the first place... Before it started nothing grabbed my attention and I didn't care. Then 24 came along and I was hooked within the first episode... Long story short 8 seasons later and the show ended back in May and I no longer watch TV because while 24 got me into TV it also made my desire to watch TV go away.
2. Buffy The Vampire Slayer / Angel - I can't talk about one without the other. Being one of those people who firmly believe anything Joss Whedon touches turns to gold. This is by far the best quality shows that has graced my DVD player.
3. Stargate SG-1 - What can I say about this? Memorable characters and a very interesting plot device with the stargate. The worlds they explored and the ever impending threat of the Gould made glued to my screen. While its worth mentioning Atlantis as its a good show to there's something special about the original (even the later seasons with the cast changing was great.)
Thanks to Teal'c for making Indeed my favorite word ever.
4. Family Guy - Of all the shows on my list this one is the most relevant as everyone and their dog watches it. Its something to pass the time at work with (seriously half the day goes by faster when we do Family Guy jokes)
5. Supernatural - This show came out of nowhere and it didn't take much to make me realize how good it is. I call it Buffy's older brother. Dean is hilarious and has the car of my dreams. The monsters and storylines are much darker and deeper with a much more personal touch to them compared to Buffy and the humor is a bit more adult. I would love to see Joss Whedon and Eric Kripke come up with something together.
