I just had a thought; Has there been a game where the love interest's didn't hate each other? Morrigan-Leliana, Handmaiden-Sith Assassin woman, Jack-Miranda?
Ashley and Liara? Bastila and whatsherface? Tali and Jack/Miranda?

You could only romance Bastilla in KotOR..Anarya wrote...

I thought you could romance that catlady but I never tried it so I could be wrong.

Ashley isn't too fond of Liara, though that's rather onesided.
KOTOR had one romance, Juhani or whatever was incomplete.
Nobody hates Tali because that would displease the legion and cause these forums to burn.

There's definately some rivalry between the two. I talked to Liara ONCE and Ashley gets all jealous and suspicious.Anarya wrote...

She was a lesbian and wasn't technically a romance.

rivalry adds drama to romance, i like it. Espically between Leliana and Morrigan. My only regret was having to break up with Leliana.
I didn't like mass effect LI's
Ashley was to military for me
Liara was psycho
Jack she was the only mass effect girl i liked
Miranda wanted to be in charge of everything
Tali had a childhood crush on shepard making the romance feel wierd for a commander
DAO romances were all great

Read her comments like she's talking about countries and not races. They make more sense, even if they both apply.
And The Illusive Man isn't a racist either. He's a more radical version of a nationalist called a jingoist.

Don't worry about me, just throwing that out there and leaving it at that. If anyone wants to dispute what I'm saying, there's the PM option.

Distrusts. She's a nationalist, not a racist, who questions the logic of having aliens on an Alliance vessel and doubts aliens' motives and trustworthiness when the chips are down.

Maybe not exactly the same. What if they're friendly but your love triangle causes a rift between them? I mean, in all fairness to Bioware's history of warring LIs, it's tough to like the person who's defeated you in love. At least until you get over it.

Over the protagonist? Only if the protagonist is romancing both of them...
Unless you mean, do you want the potential LIs to dislike each other intensely? Eh, I can't say I care one way or the other. As long as the banter is interesting they could be old friends and it'd be cool.

The bad guy in any DA:O love triangle is the Warden. That's how I view it, anyway. If the protagonist two-times one of the LIs for the other I'd be down with both of them telling the protagonist to screw off. It'd be different from what Bioware's done recently.
(I had no idea you folks were so touchy by the way, was one post. I will not follow up on it in this thread, nor did I ever intend to, jeez. It's just one of my pet peeves. I've got a bunch.)

No. I would prefer them to really like each other so that choosing one over the other is really difficult.
