It would be nice if we could get a female half-elf, would make for good story too. Does that happen in Thedas or only D&D forgotten realms? There was alot of half-breeds there.

I mean we cant be the only humans that thought elves were attractive right?

In DA lore Human+Elf=Human.
Technically Alistair is a half elf.

What a lame way to not have to make more models and story in your game. I'm acually dissapointed to hear that

I have a feeling a half-dwarf would just be a short, hairy, ugly human though.

What makes no half-elves a big peice of the lore? dont remember it coming up in any dialog in DAO

"The Elves of Thedas are mortal, but elven legends state that this was not always the case.
Once, they say, they were an immortal race that lived in harmony with the natural world and followed the elven pantheon. The first shemlen they encountered were the mages of the Tevinter Imperium. They traded with the Imperium and grew friendly with humans, but soon discovered that breeding with humans produced only human babies, due to the elves' genetic adaptability, while exposure to the ‘quick children’ caused the elves to quicken themselves.
For the first time, elves began to age and die.
In fear, the elves withdrew from human contact, but the Imperium interpreted this as a sign of hostility and invaded Elvhanan, the elven homeland, and enslaved its people."

Long story short, elves [apparently] were immortal, came in contact with humans, realised that breeding with them produced only human offspring, felt that their race was at risk they secluded themselves, humans interpreted it as an act of hostility invaded their homeland and enslaved their people.
Hence why they are now second class citizens.

Is that the case? Then I think you'll be pleased to know that Nicholas Boulton (Vaughan) is one of the likeliest voice actors for male Hawke.

Hopefully it's the kind of Alistair sweet. I'm a guy and I think Alistair is probably the best romance in Origins.

Alistair made the game for me my first playthrough.

My second playthrough went something like, "Oh, there's actually a pretty cool game here...huh."

For DAII though? I'm still hoping one of those silhouettes is Nathaniel Howe (FTW!). Mmmmm that voice....Posted Image

No, i wouldn´t like, to look down to a man for kissing... not in my fantasy... a man shouldn´t look too femalePosted Image

What? Please explain.

For example Zevran.. I played a human noble.. He looked too female for me (imo) and i love it to look up to a man... but this is only my attitude, maybe other think differentPosted Image

OK, I like elves being shorter, it separates them more from human kind

Thats part of the reason why I cant play dwarves. Always looking up to people is no fun

Eh, you don't notice it after a while, unless someone is *really* tall.  I get a little weirded out when I realize I'm looking across or down at someone.

That's why dwarves are so grumpy, having to look up all the time, & remember you can always punch them in the gut to get them more to your level

I hope so too. I think there was a golden opportunity missed by not having a Nathaniel/FCousland romance (because of the family conflict dynamic), but I'd still like a Nate romance anyway.

Besides Gaider said if there HAD been a romance in Awakening, it would have been Nate. Perhaps this is a hint?

I like the Morrigan one the most, though only if the Warden turn down the Dark Ritual. Otherwise it's seedy and potentially evil. Turn it down? The Warden is made a romantic idealist who thought he could change Morrigan, even moreso if he elects to chase her down later.

But that was only after much meta-reasoning and having tried out all the LIs that appealed to me. Can't say any really sucked me in except Leliana, but that's just because I have a thing for accents and girly girls.

I think we can all agree that Isabela is a romance option. Not the one I wanted, but there it is.

we can't judge her from what we saw in the pearl, she can end up being a entirely diffferent. All we know so far is we saw male hawke kissing her, and personally i like girls with a dark tan

But Nathaniel isn't in the Free Marches for very long.

And on-topic: I strongly believe the other female LI will be a non-human.

Well...he can be pretty dead in a lot of people's playthroughs. The only time I figure he definitely spent with Hawke was before Awakening. Assumably he doesn't flirt with her, because he turns tail and starts coming on to Velanna once he joins the Warden.

There's also the whole factor of Nate staying in Ferelden even after Awakening, meaning it would be the shortest romance ever.

The way I remembered it. Its alot more *difficult* hmm maybe *elaborate* of a process to romance people in the Baldurs gate games. Seems like while romance is a Bioware staple now, it just seems to quick sometimes. Like you can bed your LI with very little persuasion or dialog or drama. I like a little drama. Morrigan, Jack and Zevran will sleep with anything that asks just about. Isabela prob too. Miranda, leliana and Alistair took a litte more persuasion but still pretty easy.

I guess what I'm saying is I liked it best when LI's weren't so obvious that they were LI's. Does this make any sense to anybody but me because I cant tell anymore and am too tired to rewrite it any better.

Except his sister.
