Hey y'all,

I'm giving some weapons in a conversation. The PC may choose one weapon +2. Now of course for each weapon I need another script, but that's not the problem. Since simply giving the item doesn't give a sound. I add sounds on "other actions". Only I can't find the sounds for short- and longbow and for some other weapons, like kukri etc in the list. Where can I find these? I think I've been through em all but I might've missed something.

Use the combat filter for sounds. all the combat sounds begin with cb like: cb_sh_xbow2

There appear to be four bow sounds though I've not played them in-game but just looked them up in the Lexicon (Resources/Sounds/Combat).

cb_sh_bowlow1
cb_sh_bowlow2

Thank you, but I already found those.
The problem is that the sounds you list are battle sounds. So you hear a bow firing an arrow.
The sound I'm looking for is the one that you hear when picking up a bow. It should be under "it_..." (items), but it's not there and nothing similar either. I think it's a little strange considering crossbow etc is up there.

EDIT:

tried finding it with the Lexicon, but no luck. I'm going to play nwn and try to really remember what the sound is like.

long bow --> it_bow_xbows_lrg



short bow --> it_bow_xbows_med



These sounds are used for the crossbows too



You can find them in the "sounds.bif" file

I thought the crossbow and bow had different sounds? I might be totally losing it. But thanks, I'm going to check that out!
