What's the difficulty level? You should make it on easy?

You might want to post this in the DA forums also :)

Shine the Hawke signal, he'll save you.

edit: aww, it was moved to the right forum, now my comment doesn't make sense. :(

Hmmm. Well it's a bit of a cluster-f**k fight, so your priority's on crowd control. If you made Alistair a Champion, now's a good time to utilise those abilities. If you/Morrigan have the spells, then ForceField/Crushing Prison/Paralyse the most powerful single enemy immediately (probably Talisen himself, I'd imagine) and then Mind Blast/Sleep/Nightmare/Mass Paralyse/Cone of Cold are all great crowd spells. If you've got'em, use ASAP. Death Syphon and Death Magic are also good in situations like this. If you have any weapon buffs (Flaming/Frost/Telekinetic Weapons), make sure they're on - and remember you and Morrigan can each have one active. Or if you have any AOE mass-damage spells (such as Fireball, Earthquake or Death Cloud) use them on the pesky archers. Beyond that, try to get Alistair to pull all the aggro (use both Taunt and Threaten) along with his best defensive talents (Shield Wall if you have it) and remember Zevran does most damage from backstabs, so try to get him to attack everyone while they're in melee combat with Alistair. Good luck.

standard procedure for a group battle is lockdown the biggest and baddest of the group therefore eliminating them as a threat then pick off all weakest enemies next and moving up to LTs until you can properly deal with the big bad.

You know what makes the fight a lot easier? Make sure you have a sword and shield tank with you. All the enemies are rogues and a sword and shield tank with most of the S&S talents can effectively eliminate their ability to flank and back stab.

I tried going at this with Shale and then I switched her out for Alistair. Much easier.

I find there's usually a trick to overcoming even the most daunting odds.  The hard part is to find it.

I was getting nowhere with Taliesin and his hoards.  I was getting killed every time.  I even left Zevran out of my lineup of characters.  He showed up on his own, but I had 3 other characters, rather than two.

I was down to my last tank, and expecting to get killed once more in short order.  But, what I did was duck into the confined space just beside a wagon near the small steps.

Voila.

The confined space kept the enemy from getting to me, and blocked most of their arrows.  So, I leisurely fired arrows through the narrow opening, pausing as needed to renew my health.  Occasionally, I killed all the enemy within reach of an arrow.  So, I would go out and attract the attention of whatever enemy was wandering around.  They would see me and chase me, positioning themselves so I could once more shoot arrows at them.

Funny enough, when all enemies were out of sight, I could revive whatever party members I could get to.

I was playing on difficult the whole time, so this strategy is good for whatever configuration you have.
