Ok thinking about new BG 1-tob playtrough. I installed the mods i liked and worked well on an old computer and just always played that. now, new com and I forget which ones I had and which order they went in. I originally got the reccommendation from a post in the old bioboards but cant find it now.

From what i remember I did this:

installed bg1, totsc, bg2, tob
used easytutu
i used npc banter and romance/friendship packs.
shadowkeeper

Ive seen big word mod and others but i always though tutu was more for me..

Honestly this is what I want. I want to play in all bg2 engine. I want the game to be as stable as possible so only the most reliable mods and patches. And really the only mods I like best are the ones that expand on characters and dialog and interactions (have to be well written, done). Bg2 item stacking and bags of holding ext would be nice.

Only want mission/game expanding mods if they are top notch. Well writen and flawless execution only. If they cant gaurantee that then forget it.

What can you guys reccomend and in what order please.

Side note. I love making custrom portraits for BG. Have made many in the past and will be making more soon. Prob will open a thread when I get it moving again. All BG style art like my Avatar. Who is Edward Norton as Edwin. Celebrites, personal photos, you name it. My photoshop skills are pretty good.

Shadowkeeper is not a mod.

Generally I guess you'd install NPC mods or content mods after Easytutu, though I'm not absolutely certain. Consult the readme. What you are really missing are 1) the G3 Fixpack and 2) the Widescreen Mod. I believe you simply didn't mention the patches but I will stress nontheless that you should install the relevant official patches before any mod.

There you go, http://forums.gibber...?showtopic=8122 , If you want to install more mods just make sure to read compatibility issue in their respective forum and/or the ReadMe file.

Here's a list I made not long ago, link.

I know what you mean about wanting mods to be as seamless as possible, that's why I only play the best well written mods around. Obviously you don't have to install all of the ones I've listed, but maybe some there may appeal to you.

I tend to prefer BGT because it makes it more seamless; I install one set of mods and stuff, and play one game, and that's it.

That said, for either Tutu or BGT, I believe the install order tends to go:

Game + patches

Gibberlings 3 fixpack for BG2 *first*

Then BGT/Tutu install

Then your mods.

As always, read the readme for the mods your installing before you start .Especially the Tutu/BGT readmes, they have specific install instructions.

For the 'your mods' bit, I personally tend to put the tweak-rule-change stuff first, like the BG2 tweak pack, or BGT tweaks.

Then dialog-type mods. I have similar tastes to you, and tend to install things like: Banter Pack, IEP Banters, Unfinished Business for BG1 & BG2, romantic encounters if that's your thing + flirt pack.

At the very end are mods that say 'install me last' like Refinements. Those are pretty optional in my book, but can be nice.

The old thread is still there:

However an updated one has been made at G3.
Cowboy Christo has already given a link to it.
