This is just for curiosity sakes.  Let's say that ME3 will have ten squadmembers and that no more than six of your squad members can be former squad members or other people from previous games e.g. Shialla.  We will take Wrex and Liara out of the question because they seem the most likely to have business elsewhere that will prevent them from being in your squad regularly.  So pick six people from previous games you would want to see and put in 4 types of characters that would fill in the other slots via a sentinal, a vanguard, etc.

Ashley/Kaiden- this is a must I miss my lil alliance squadies.
Thane- good abillities plus if I have to sacrafice someone why not someone who is going to die soon anyways?
Kasumi- I really want to learn more about her and actually interact with her
Garrus- we've been down a long path why not finish it together?
Tali- every squad needs a good engineer and she's the best
Grunt- every squad needs a heavy

Would also like to see a new adept, sentinal, soldier, and a hybrid biotic assault rifle squadie.

Who would u guys take?

Although I'm not sold on Wrex and Liara not being there full time I'll go with.....

1. Kasumi (became a fav even without the traditional interaction and hoping for LI)
2. Samara ( a favorite character and she kicks much ass)
3. Garrus (long time buddy)
4. Tali (good friend)
5. Kaidan (same as Garrus)
6. Mordin (Will keep the crew in good spirits )

For a new squadie it doesn't really matter what they bring to the battlefield for me, I care more about what type of person(personality, coolness, etc) they are. Would be cool to see Female Drell or Turian.

Legion- His tech skills are off the chart and he's cool character
Kasumi- I wish she had real dialogue I want to know more about her
Ashely- Kaidan is dead in all my playthroughs; a good solid soldier
Garrus- Been their since the beginning
Miranda- A good XO,smart, and I need a biotic.
Mordin- Mordin 'Nough said

nobody is giving the type of character the four new squadmembers should be... and just because you personally think Liara's work as SB won't exclude her from being a Squadmember is irrelevant. We have removed her from discussion. Best case scenario maybe this will give Bioware an idea of who we like and who they should bring back... if not hey you get to kill a minute or two on the forum lol.

True...which is a pity. I usually save Ash, so I guess 9. would be Wrex (or Jack) and 10. would be Ash.

Here's my list:

As for new ones, I don't really care about class/type, but

(1) If Liara's not available, an asari (Aethyta would be great)
(2) I guess we'd need another soldier-type in this group. A female turian?
(3) A batarian Infiltrator-type
(4) We'd need a new resident scientist. Mordin is great, but he's run his course, story-wise.

Having said that, I could live with not having Miranda in my team if I have as much interaction with her as in ME2. The same goes for my other favorite LIs. I want significant screen presence for them and a role in the plot, and I don't care if it's done within the team or not. I'd like to have them somewhere around in the final fight, though.

Again, having that *that*, I do think the new team should have more old characters than new ones. This is the last part of a trilogy. It may be a new game, but it's not a new story. We need character continuity apart from Shepard.

Salarian (demolitions expert, field engineer, younger than Mordin, prone to making the occasional mistake "Oops, I guess I set that charge for 3 minutes rather than 30...")



Regarding Thane, personally I don't think he has much time left to live. While Mordin still has a few years ahead of him, I can't imagine he would spend them on the Normandy. Probably has paperwork to do for STG.
