For new squaddies.. I'd rather not have another Asari, but if we must, then someone like Aria would be ideal. There were so many strong and self-assured Asari in ME2, sooo much more appealing than what was shown in ME1.

I'd love a female Turian, but only if she wouldn't take the place of Garrus. class doesn't matter to me.

hmm for the core slots

- Garrus ( soldier, straight guy loyal. And walking into hell should be done in his company )
- Zaeed ( soldier, heavy hitter and cynic, great for nasty punchlines. )
- Mordin (medic, science insightful exposition )
- Legion (infiltrator + sniper, engineer, Geth angle)
- Liara (if possible)  Tali (don't like but necessary for the Geth vs Quarian angle. replace with Kal'Reegar if possible^^ )
- Kasumi ( security, mystery girl, sneaky, potential for great and wise interaction, the Graybox )

That is, if we regard Liara set as LI (if so in ME-1 and ME-2) and partially off-screen. If available conceptually as a squadmate, strike Tali.
Wrex would be fun, but story-wise I don't see him as available.

Beyond that for the four extra slots

Another Drell, to replace Thane (who has likely succumbed to Kepplar ), Adept could be fun
Vorcha Vanguard, mad berzerking fun, great attitude - all teeth and claws
Sentinel Quarian ,maybe one of their marines, brave, straight, with a penchant for complex plans
Asari commando, and I mean in the vein of Elyna or Tela Vasir, not Samara

-Tali (She was there in the beginning, my kid sis, great engineer skills)
-Garrus (Also was there from the start, great leadership and all around good fighter)
-Samara (This one was a toss up between her and Jack, I have it to her because I really like her reave and AR capability)

There's my six, little dissapointed I couldn't fit Mordin in there so if there's a possible seventh or honorable mention? He'd definitely get it, however since my squad was already tech heavy I needed another biotic to round it out - Sorry Mordin =(

As for the four new ones? I'm thinking a balance really to complement the others:
-A batarian sniper/tech would be cool (kinda like Garrus I suppose)
-Aria would kick ass as a biotic and make for some great controversy
-Kal Reegar, Adam Baldwin is reason enough but having another experienced soldier is always a plus
-Urz, throw some armor on him and it's like Mass Effect's version of a Mabari warhound, EPIC!

I would want to have
-Tali (LI and my favorite character)
-Garrus (BFF right, need someone to stand next to so i look better to the ladies)
-Mordin (we need "the smart guy" and he is the best)
-Legion (great sniper and tech, though i hope it and Tali have different powers in the next game)
-Samara (biotics and assault rifles how can you lose with that)
-Grunt (meat shield)

And as for new I agree with some of the above that I would love to get Kal'Reegar in the party.
as for the rest a Hanar and Elcor would be cool. Maybe a batarian just to see shep having to deal with one on his side.

-Liara(LI and biotic powerhouse)

-Garrus(He is too bad ass not to have)

-Wrex(See above/ Grunt is ok though since Wrex is on Tuchanka)

-Legion(Great character and should be important to plot)

-Kasumi(The only character besides Liara i would be interested as a LI plus she has shadowstrike)

-Mordin(Gotta have the scientist)



For some new characters I'd like to see somethings like

-An Asari tech

-Turian Biotic/Vanguard

-Batarian

-One of the non-combat races. Volus, Hanar, Elcor, or maybe a yahg

4. Grunt. He's in my krantt.

5. Kal'Reegar. Quarian with a rocket launcher? YES.

6. Jack. I'd rather have her be on my side than running around blowing up people she doesn't like.



NEW MEMBERS?

1. Female turian. Energetic personality with a focus on disabling enemies.

2. Batarian heavy combat guy.

3. Prothean. Impossible, you say? What if he'd been in stasis aboard a ship traveling at high speeds or closely orbiting an especially massive object? Relativity, baby! 50 thousand years could have been just a century for him! Far-fetched, yes, but I think it'd be fun.

4. We'll need a new human, preferably a male that for once has an interesting personality.

Ashley : She's like my sister no matter my Shepard is male or Female.

Garrus : Brotherhood of teammate, also it's fun to have him in the team.

Tali : Ultimately lucky Quarian, she survived all the fights. The team need some luck for saving unvierse, of course she is a adorable person. :happy:

Admiral(?) Anderson : He may be old but that doesn't make a soldier weak at all, his skills and experience on combat can serve as a great tactical adviser.

Miranda : A fully loyal teamamte with powerful skills, also with an interesting character.

Samara : Last spot of former squad end with a powerful biotic character.

If Shiala's biotic is stable, she would fill up the last choice, but since she suffers on this after release from Thorian, having her in the team may eventually get her kill. So, no for her...(tooo bad)

If they force me to take only 6 old squaddies, I'm gonna pull a French Revolution on Bioware. I want all of them gawddammit (okay, so I gave up on Liara[she's more useful as SB anyways], and President Wrex on coming back). Only people I don't care about are Zaeed and Tali. Kasumi looks unlikely...and Zaeed even more so. Cause nobody's writing their paychecks.

I want Zaeed to rally the Mercs.(He still has to find the leader in my play through. I can't kill the workers)

I want Jack to rally the pirates.

I want Thane to be a hands to hands combat training instructor on ship.

I want Doctor Chakwas on ship. ( I need to get drunk again with her ).

I want Jacob on ship as weapons developer and trainer.



I don't want any new people.

I'm not keen to pick former squadmates since there is a good chance that they might be dead in depending on how you play the game.

At anyrate..

1. Garrus - 2nd Fireteam Lead, plus he is kinda like an old friend who will see it things to the end with you.
2. Tali - Tech Specialist - Same as above
3. Zaaed - The Veteran.  Rugged, experienced & gosh his accent.
4. Virmire Survivor.  LI or confidante.
5. Mordin - The Scientist of the Group.  Oddly charming in a way too.
6. Grunt - The tanker or muscle of the group.

7. Matriach Aethyta - The Biotic, not sure if I spelled her name correctly.  But she is the barkeep on Illium.
8. Conrad Verner - The aspirant / noob/understudy.  The poor underdog that tries but everyone picks on him..comedy relief.

If we had to have new characters, an asari commando is the only one I can say for sure. I like all bioware characters, they do a great job with them. Surprise me if they have to make new ones.

I would personally prefer old characters only, but I wouldn't mind having to pick and chose out of which to recruit before a "time limit" is up.

I agree with the above... Kal'Reegar would be an interesting character for sure.
