 Greetings all,

It's been so long since I messed with portraits, It seems I've forgotten how.  I'm trying to use the Newcastle Portrait Pack (http://nwvault.ign.c...&comment_page=2) and have followed the instructions ("When placed into an empty portrait folder in your NWN Directory, all of these images will list beneath the Bioware NWN standard images.") but I am unable to see any of the portraits in the toolset.
Any ideas?

Goofy question but do you see a single "rar/zip" file or a bunch of "tga" files? You should be seeing tga files.

Next silly question.

Is your folder named correctly, "portraits"?

(puts on reading glasses)

Yep. portraits. In the NWN directory between "patch" and "premium".

Well, I am out of goofy questions then. No silly ones up my sleeve either *grins at Michael.* Got one crazy question though... did you exit and reload NWN after putting the portraits in place?

Aha! I think I see the problem. The portraits do not show up in the toolset, but they do show up when creating a new character because the Newcastle download instructions are for players, not modders!

Next question: how would one go about incorporating new portraits into a mod? A hak file I suppose, but is there a 2da file that needs to be edited? Anyone know where I could find a tutorial?

Good thing you figured it out, I was all out of guesses. *grins* Yup, you need a hak to be able to work with them in the toolset. And yes, there is a 2da file for that (portraits.2da).
