i just want her hair to be actually red, thats my only complaint about her.
Actually, I way prefer orange. Red hair that looks like a fire engine isn't that common (I don't want to say it's unnatural, but I've never met anyone with red hair). Orange hair, however, is rarely used for characters, even though orange hair is really what people talk about when they say "redhead". Red hair ususally looks like dye to me--like on Jane Shepard.
To give an example of what I'm trying to say, while Blizzard made WoW more accessible so that casuals won't be solely going through Stratholme in vanilla or Kara in Tbc, which was a reasonable move, they made hard modes for their core fans.
Scripting a few extra mob abilities for hardmode and a proper top-down view is essentially what most people ask for, and it would make a huge difference, at least from my point of view.
Instead of adopting the ME style as inspiration, I was thinking DA2 would take more cues from BG2 or just evolve in a way that makes DA feel unique and not simply borrow from BioWare's other franchise.
Every dev borrows from themselves, Bioware is no exception. I see the same basic pattern in their games. They're all good, but they have the same structure. If anything, I'd like to see new story ideas, a different approach to environments and exploration, and fewer companions.
I can live with any art style really, most of the visual changes I like. It's the gameplay elements that need refreshing if anything.

I honestly think that half the issues with handling the console version properly (which may be the reason for some of the recent changes) could be solved by giving better AI to the party......I noticed party/squad AI is a big downfall in ME and DA
Why do people cling to the isometric view like it was actually good? It was a way to make sprites look 3D. There are other ways to do a tactical camera that actually reflect the fact that you're playing a true 3D game, like the Total War camera.
If it is good or not is a matter of taste, you may not like it but this doesn't mean it's not good. I like it, I even played many WoW raids from a top down perspective, it's the camera perspective I like most and I only change it when it is bad for practical purposes.
I'm pretty happy Diablo III is sticking to its guns in that aspect.

It's easier to asses the battlefield and give commands, quicker too. Also, the area of effect spells have an annoying tendency to 'skip' when in over the shoulder camera, dives me friggin nuts.
Iso view has alway been best for tactical gameplay and not just in rpg's. Personally, I'll miss it.

was the tactical camera on the pc version of DAO actually..you know.....fixed? you could not rotate at all?

But to say that moving to a free external camera is not an evolution is nonsense. The isometric view is a dinosaur of the sprite era. A free camera does not remove any situational awareness nor does it restrict the player in any way.
The sooner they get rid of it the better. There are better options. There's nothing you can't see with something like this:

Of course not. But the gist I get from so many people on the forums is that they honestly view Baldur's Gate II's camera as some kind of ideal. It's a position completely alien to me.

Don't think it needs to as it isn't played on the same scale. There's no need to see the battlefield situation across say, an entire mile. But it is a totally free camera. When people say they want an isometric camera, they're calling for a rather specific kind of fixed perspective, are they not?
Hence all the Diablo III citations.

I believe they said it won't go as high up but it also won't be attached to the current party member selected, either, and can move over the battlefield at will. Of course, they're still tweaking it.

The thing is, I like playing on that scale and it was fine in DA:O.
If you go way up, it makes little difference if is it is entirely fixed or not, because even big ground movements correspond to relative small angle changes, when the camera is set at height. So fixed or not makes little difference imo, when you can zoom out allot.
I didn't really use it but it was nice to have in certain situations. But the only real use I had for it was in regards to some AOE mage spells. Otherwise I tended to play with the camera zoomed in.

They said they'll have something that resembles it, it won't be as flexible and we're yet to see samples. If it were to be a nearly identical solution for practical purposes and affected only their coding, I don't think they'd go out and mention it as it wouldn't affect anybody.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't believe it's going to be equivalent to DA:O's top down view.

They are asking to see the entire field of battle at once. Think of it as playing on a game board. Everything is visible and so executing commands goes quicker. It's not a dinosaur either, ever play Star Craft?
what was nice in Origins is you can scroll up or down to get the distance you want. Few games offer this. It was just another awesome tool for pc gamers and I have great respect for Bioware for including such an option in DA.
In that case I can understand wanting to zoom out. Reading all the references to an isometric camera had me thinking people genuinely wanted a return to Baldur's Gate II.
What does a face morph have to do with camera angles and gameplay? (Rhetorical question) Oh and Leliana's Sacred Ashes design is great. If she ever makes a future appearance just go off that.....BioWare.

I didn't actually bring it up, not originally - but I ought to have quoted the posts I was responding to. But I got the explanation I was looking for, so I'm done with it.
In any case, the question the OP asked was answered by a Dev. Successful thread is successful.

I think it would be great if Leliana had at least cameo in DA II, what comes to the looks of her, I'd be happy whit the Origins look really. No need to change every character model How likely do you guys and gal's think Leliana's cameo is ?
