Didn't Bioware catch grief about how the Ogre's were a different color then the rest of the Darkspawn when DAO first came out? It's like a lose lose situation.
They did. People were saying they looked like gorillas and such.
between the 2 ogre version, i tend to prefer the origins models mostly due to the head model, i quite liked the protruding mouth in the origins model and not seeing it on the DA2 version made them not as awesome to me. a minor appearance trait to be sure but still...
the DA2 ogre looks kinda retarded...it lost a lot of detail and that "holy s**t" factor it had in Origins
now....I don't know...the model itself lost details the horns are nowhere near as good looking (they look a lot like what you'd see in an old N64 game)....as opposed to the main characters' details which are greatly improved
and you know I am ok with some of the visual changes but as I said before if someone placed two pictures of the DAO darkspawn and the DA2 darkspawn infront of me and asked me if they were the same thing BEFORE I played DAO I'd have said no
ok let me give you an example
terminalgamer.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/Halo-Grunt-Comparisons.jpg this is a comparison of the Grunt from halo 1, 2, 3 and ODST (I think...maybe reach..not sure)
even when there was a console generation jump you could always tell they were the same critter, you could put this infront of someone who does not play videogames and they will certainly tell you that aside for amor differences they are indeed the same kind of "alien" for lack of better words
now let's see the darkspawn
