@ Everbody - Thanks for the kind words! It means a lot to us that any of you would even take a single minute from their day to play the mod.
@ Chameleon Skin - Kinda hard for me to say really. Depends on what you do. The main story line can be completed with relative ease, but there is a significant amount of side quests to keep you entertained along the way. I began my last playthrough at 10:30 pm and finished around 4:30 a.m. but I'm the type of player who clicks on everything and reads every codex entry (and I know where everything is ). By the time the credits rolled I still hadn't done any of the Legion board quests except for the initial one. Wish I could have a more specific answer for ya but I generally don't believe in time.

Sounds good...but a question. Once all 8 files downloaded, what do you do next. Do you extract to docs or what? How and where does it install? Can you just drop each of the 8 files into override?
I'm useles at this kind of thing,,,although i do know how to install most mods...but an 8 parter is a bit confusing.

there are few files, you need to extract and install .dazip and then extract resource files and add them into override

Congratulations to Questorion and the rest of the team who worked on Dark Times! I did some beta testing for the mod, so I can definitely recommend that all Dragon Age players download the mod and give it a shot. It will provide quite a number of hours of gameplay, and there are some very nice moments in it.

I am planning on replaying the entire of DA:O and playing Awakening for the first time after I graduate Grade 12 in 17 days, as a massive reward to myself. I am happy to say this shall be added to the list of my DA:O reward to myself, thank you so much for extending my experience by a few hours/maybe days?

Thanks for the mod
Just finish installing it and giving it a go. Ah... how long has it been since I played DAO... maybe now I can actually find the motivation to finish one of my playthroughs.

Thanks for this!
How do you start the new content? I mean where do you go, I don't see any new locations? (It doesn't load if you use the post-game autosave, so I tried with saves before the final battle, but can't figure out what to do...)
It looks like you put a ton of work into this, so it would be nice to see it have a higher profile. It is also pretty hard to find information about installation and getting started. Maybe you could add some FAQ-type info to your newspaper thingie, and/or put something on dragonagenexus?

You have to travel to the inn at Lake Calenhad docks. You should have a journal entry.

Hey there jagdwarf. Thanx for your suggestions and I am currently working on getting some information into the Dark Times Chronicle re: the mod. If you have anything that you would like answered, or you think others might like answered apart from the installation guide, please let me know and I am more than happy to include that information.
Thanx for downloading the mod and I hope you enjoy it.
Have fun

Anyone has crashing issue. For me, the mod crashes 50% of them time entering new area and starting combat. Is there any known conflict with other mods?

Did you get this file - dt_act_one_8parts_v1_0.part1.rar
I notice there is one other file that has a different file name and causes the error you stated

They have a discussion page where you can post errors and bugs you are having so they could either possibly give suggestions on how to fix it now, or it would be something for them to look at for the next release.

Just wanted to swing through and thank everybody that has downloaded the mod and checked it out! You have no idea how much it means to us that you would even consider playing it.
For those of you who have already downloaded it, we have just released the 1.01 fixpack which addresses the majority of glitches people experienced with release. It is available on the project page.
If you experience any problems or bugs swing on by the project page and we will happily get to work taking a look at what might be causing the problems.

Hey there Errant_Knight. I am glad you're having a good time. I myself am enjoying the build now that it is out of beta. There are quite a few things different and it is awesome just going around and talking to people in Cefalu.
The link to the mod and a FAQ section will be featured in the upcoming Dark Times Chronicle which will be released shortly. There is already one Fixpack out that addresses some of the bugs that somehow magically appeared
and there will be another shortly as well.
Keep playing and please feel free to update us with your progress and what you have enjoyed etc. I love hearing feedback and any suggestions are always listened to.
Have fun.
