Okay, so the problem is that the game keeps crashing every time I try to save or load the game after getting to weeping willow or past it. When I manage to save, the save is corrupt, but usually it just crashes while saving. This problem however does not occur while playing SoZ campaign.

So Here are the system specs:

Neverwinter Nights 2
Mask of the Betrayer
Storm of Zehir

Windows 7 64bit
8gb Ram DDR3
Intel® Core™ i5 CPU 2,67GHz
ATI Radeon HD 5670
ATI Radeon HD 5850 (this one runs the game)

Removing the mods may be the problem. You said you had custom classes and spells - any characters you made with those have to be removed from your localvault. The game goes through all the character files there to prepare a list of who's available; the custom characters refer to 2da files that don't exist and cause crashes. This is a well-known issue.

You need to remove those characters anyway, so you might as well do it first. Store them in some folder named for the mod like "/KaedrinsChars" and see where that leaves you.

p.s. That subfolder can't be in localvault either.  More detail:  social.bioware.com/forum/Neverwinter-Nights-2/NwN-2-Technical-Support-Self-Help-for-all-versions-and-expansions/039Select-Character039-Crashing-4402360-1.html

Also, there's some useful information here: nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html    Read especially the last post there.  Then check your nwn2_errorlog.txt and see what it says.

And general troubleshooting tips here:  nwn2.wikia.com/wiki/PW_Player_Troubleshooting_Problems#Troubleshooting_For_Players_.E2.80.93_Or_im_crashing_what_do_i_do.

Well I just reinstalled and reupdated the whole game, I'll see if that helps too.

Well this is embarrasing, the reinstallation seem to have fixed the issue, thanks for your help though, I am sure those tips will still come in handy.
