Recently my computer motherboard stopped working so my brother put together an older Pentium 4 machine for me. So I decided to pull out some of my old games that should work well on that computer and I can not get SWKoToR to run it comes up with this message:

Conflict with Disk Emulator Software detected. See www.securom.com/emulation for details.

When I check that site they talk about a different .exe file to launch the game that fixed this problem in windows xp, however all the links to that file seem to be dead. Can anyone tell me where I can get that file so I can see if it works in windows 7?

the system specs:

Intel Pentium 4 CPU 2.40GHz
2 GB Ram
32 bit Windows 7
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500

Any help would be appreciated

Nevermind, I got the game to work simply by right clicking the launcher.exe and running as adminstrator....

Out of pure curiosity, how does SW:TOR run on your pentium computer specs?

nvm, I thought you were trying to play SW:TOR :/

I can run it at 1024x768 and it is quite playable, the only real problem I have is if I try to alt tab to windows for any reason, it does not stay at my desktop instead it seems to switch back and forth...but the game itself is playable now at least

Oh and as far as I know, no one can play SW:TOR yet because its not released, so I still have time to buy a new system before it is

edit: it also seems  to screw up a bit during cut scenes...but at least it does not crash and for the most part I do get the cut scenes....it just takes a while to get them.

Ha. I feel your pain the game won't even get past the opening menu for me. IT just stays there and then crashes to desktop.
