If Sten doesn't come back for DA2, I think it's safe to assume that we have something bigger planned for him later, don't you?

uh......no

because in a number of imports he might be very well dead.....would it make sense to have something BIG planned for him if he died in Lothering?

unless by big you mean "cameo role"

of course........that is unless the DA team has more of a "quad" than the ME team and you are willing to make players deal with their choices in a much more complete and sadistic way....in which case you will be my gods

My god woman. I..I think....I think I'm in lo......*Shakes it off *

It would be cool if Sten found out his 'father' and/or 'mother' turned Tal' Vashoth, and that somehow it was for Sten's sake. Like They conceived him out of love, but left to become Tal' Vashoth so Sten would have a chance to escape the stigma.

I don't think Qunari are close enough to their parents for this to ever be an issue.

But that's precisely what I mean. They weren't supposed to care for each other and definetly not about Sten. But they did, and had some hand in his raising initially, at least. But rather than raise him as an outlaw, they left him with his people.

No disrespect because this is an interesting idea, but it seems backwards.

I would understand to be come Tal-Vashoth in order to keep your child, since they are taken from you in the Qunari's rigid social structures.

I wouldn't understand why a Tal-Vashoth would give thier kid back to the Qun unless being a Tal-Vashoth is that terrible, and if it is, as far as I know they could rejoin the Qunari, as the Qunari have even elves among their ranks.  They have no problem absorbing their enemies, if skilled, into their ranks, and don't like to waste bodies.

They made their choice to abandon the Qun. They don't hate their people or the Qun, but they just love each other more. Leaving Sten with the Qunari would allow him to be a part of his culture and allow him to chose as they did, whether he wants to be a part of it.

I'm going to laugh if a Sten joining your party is some kind of reoccurring thing in the Dragon Age games.

Well, wouldn't it be the same between a scout and a cannoneer? Or does every soldier start at grunt level?

All soldiers start at grunt level, though in different military branches. Grunts in the navy require slightly different aptitudes than grunts in the infantry or cavalry.

Do you guys have like a book of this stuff? If so, I would like to steal....er...I mean....buy it.

I believe they have a setting bible. It will likely never see the light of day.

I want to know if Sten is a happy, horny, sad, or angry drunk. Either way, getting the big stoic prudish 'softie' hammered would be funny.

I've said it once before that the chance of meeting anybody from Ferelden in the Free Marches is soo small as it is that ANYBODY to me just seems like a jarring pandering.

The world shouldn't feel that small like everybody knows everydody. Ferelden and Free Marches are big in themselves and on top of that 2 different countries seperated by water.

Once again, the chances of two unrelated individuals meeting and partying with the same person in both games is too small to count.

Could you actually kill Sten after fighting him? From memory at the end he did say it was inevitable that the Qunari would invade Thedas. It will be interesting to see which "side" he is on having been corrupted/enlightened by the warden and his time on Thedas.

Oh, Sten loved my Warden.  But he's still entirely in the Qun camp.  He'd also dispute that humans are capable of "enlightening" him at all.

He talks as if he is very reluctant about returning to spread the Qun. I'm convinced his eyes have been somewhat opened by his time on Thedas and he is starting to question some fundamentals, although he might try to avoid showing it.

True, but on the other hand individual characters of importance are much more likely to run into one another.

Oh, well, we wouldn't want that. Sounds like its time for some ruthless cutting.

Sheryl, Mary? YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Tiax, you might want to bunker down. It's only a matter of time before the Alistair fans catch wind of this. ^_^

You'll just re-release it as DLC anyway.  Sounds just like something you would do.

Ten years is a long time. Sten, heck any of the DA:O companions, might be anywhere in Thedas. Sten especially considering it looks like there's a Qunari invasion underway.

I think it's probably because all Quanari in DA2 have horns and they'd have to make a new model for Sten to appear

Bioware asked Sten, but guess what Sten said?

Here is a hint, he says it a lot.
