I've said it once before that the chance of meeting anybody from Ferelden in the Free Marches is soo small as it is that ANYBODY to me just seems like a jarring pandering.

Oh, well, we wouldn't want that. Sounds like its time for some ruthless cutting.

Sheryl, Mary? YOU KNOW WHAT TO DO.
Tiax, you might want to bunker down. It's only a matter of time before the Alistair fans catch wind of this. ^_^

*catches wind*

What's happening?!

I don't want Sten involved in the Qunari invasion. I think he'd be I dunno a better tactician as to not get beaten by some young upstart named Hawke. I'd much rather prefer that this failed invasion leads for a reformist to take power, (hopefully Sten from dealing with your warden, and in true Bioware fashion, some guy that looks like Sten if you killed him) because the Qunari's way of conquering is not a long time plan that will work if you keep losing, and summarily losing worse over time.

It would be cool to see how the Warden's relationships with the DA:O companions affect how their cameos react to Hawke in DA2. If the Warden earned Sten's Respect, maybe he becomes a leader amongst a Tal'Vashoth movement. If the Warden didn't gain Sten's respect he becomes an Arishok.

Where do people get the idea that the Warden could have possibly changed Sten's views on the Qun?  Were they playing a different game than me?  And I am and was a huge Sten fan who always got massive approval from the guy.

If anything, not befriending him should enforce the Qun on him and befriending him should add doubts. :P

If you paly a female Warden you do get him to admit that a woman could be a warrior, based on his change of attitude from when you first meet to when he considers you kadan.  As such it's not far fetched to beleiver that you could make him question his views and in time, possibly change them.

People lose their faith all of the time.  I don't personally think Sten would become Tal'Vashoth or anything, but I could see him wanting to curtail the conquering ways of the Qun, given time.

Ditto.

Sten was Qunari from bone to blood. No way the Warden would have changed that in him.

Even if the Warden was a Female/Warden/Mage who reclaimed his sword for him and got 100/100 Friendly rating he still wouldn't change his views on anything and still follow the Qun. Likely seeing the Warden as an unlikely acception that prooved the rule. Not as proof that the rule was incorrect.

The only thing that could possibly change his mind would be if the Arishok decided all cookies everywhere needed to be destroyed because they were pure evil. Then he might go Tal'Vashoth on their sorry butts. (joking)

Not saying that he changed his mind. Just broadened his outlook. He can be pro Qun and anti-invasion. The cake in this game is not a lie.

Maybe if you leave him in lothering, even Leliana, he could also escape with Hawke and that would make a very interesting came or comeback.

I can't, I feel he went right back to his routine when he got home. Sten is all business. The qun is his LIFE. Not just his hobby

A full character with full VO for maybe less than 2% of the community is unlikely.

I could see him accepting that, on extremely rare occasions, there are exceptions that fall outside the Qun. That wouldn't change his belief that the vast majority of people and countries would be far better off if they adopt it, either voluntarily or by force.

No difference between voluntary submission and forced submission.

Only voluntary submission is easier (though less trust worthy) and forced submission is a lot more fun.

Only thing that matters is that they submit.

Maybe it's just me but I'd most likely think forced submission to be a lot less trust worthy, more spite and hatred.

I think it's probably because all Quanari in DA2 have horns and they'd have to make a new model for Sten to appear
