Bring a public demo to Australia and I'll wear three pairs of pantaloons and nothing else. (Well, a T-shirt. Probably shoes.) And I can bring my baby wearing a "+5 combat experience" T-shirt, like in King's Bounty. (Hmmm. I may have to go and start a baby as equippable item for DAII thread.) And I wonder if my non-gamer hubby would dress up as Sten?
EDIT: Curse no clean paste. (Sorry.)
PS. Also, although I think that a public Aussie demo would be great, I'm sure there are lots of complicating factors. We are very spread out, geographically. We don't really have games conventions. (Games events perhaps.) People from overseas don't actually like vegemite and lamingtons. Maybe, if any of the producers/PR people do another visit for press with a demo, a group of Aussie fans could be selected and invited. (I'm sure there is some reason why that wouldn't be possible, but worth an ask, right? And fans o/s have played the demo, after all.)

Pfft people may not like Vegemite but who wouldn't love lamingtons? that's like not liking TIm Tams! Sacrelige!
Oh and I totally agree, I have a 3 month old and a 3 year old, I would TOTALLY put them in DA clothing/jumpsuits if Bioware made them, something like Blizzards Whelpling or Orphan of Alliance/Horde jumpsuits....
Which I have...

Bioware should release a line of baby clothes with a DA stat screen where every stat is 0 or 1. Gamers are in their 30s and having kids now, right?

I believe it's the coconuts. A lot of people dislike coconuts (as much as people dislike cherry ripes, which I really hate). But I love lamingtons.
As for Game conventions, I agree, we have very few. The only one that I can think is the closest is Supanova in Sydney (and across Australia), but that happens after DA2 comes out, which is sad.

'Cause it's actually a really nice spread on bread, especially when you're in the mood for savory for breakfast, my preference is on toast for it. But yea, most of my mates that are foreign that go to try tend to think it can be eaten like peanut butter, and they're tend to be called spooners. Either taking table, or tea spoon of it and then tasting it all in one go, doesn't tend to end well for first tryers. It needs to be savored, bit by bit, lol.

Vegemite is delicious. So salty. (And bad for you.) Marmite, though, (the UK version?) makes me want to be sick. As does "Cheesymite" or iSnack 2.0. (Did that make international news?) There must be some tastebud critical period for young children where your preference is forever cemented in.
Also, I'm totally guilty of forcing every overseas visitor to try vegemite. (I don't think I've found one that likes it.)
EDIT: I can link this to DAII (Please don't lock Aussie thread.).... I love RPGs with food. I think its the immersion. Food was referenced in DAO. It's be cool if the Free Marches had different food to Ferelden. Hawke could be like, "Porridge, gruel, oh how I long for the cheese wheels of my youth." A whole dimension of cross-cultural something or other.

Haha, I only like vegemite on bread, if it is toast and with LOTS of butter. It has a nice taste to it.

God don't get me started on that crap, it's so gross lol.
And Vegemite has such a distinctive taste even THINKING about it conjures memories of the taste, you can practically feel it in your mouth.
PS MYMistake, I can think of at least three, Promite,Vegemite,Marmite...
But the other two pale in comparison, can't stand them.
Also linking to DA Alistair doesn't know what he is missing, Vegemite and Cheese Sandwiches are the best, especially toasted (which my mum calls tiger bread lol)
*EDIT*
I think AvCon has a few games there, I think they had the Halo launch when that was on, but I've never been to a REAL Games Convention, that'd be AWESOME.
Everyone forgets about us
