Know? No.
But the same thing was done in the Mass Effect 2 forum before that game was released, and it seemed to have been for gauging interest/numbers for launch-day store events. Unfortunately those events were EB Games-only for ME2, and I know I only went to EB for ME2 because of the exclusive collectors edition. I'll be buying it elsewhere for DA2, so won't be able to go to an EB Launch (pity, I won one of the signed ME2 posters in the competition they had too...). In a double pity, official launch parties usually guarentee that other stores won't release earlier than the official release day either.

Also, I'm totally guilty of forcing every overseas visitor to try vegemite. (I don't think I've found one that likes it.)

That would be totally awesome, my boyfriend (also a Bioware/DA fan) works at EBgames in Mount Barker, but knowing my luck if they DID do a launch thing like with ME2 it wouldn't be at our little country store...
Although we did just have a midnight COD BLack Ops launch on Monday here and there were prizes and stuff.
But if that did happen (if it even ahs anything to do with it) I might not be able to enter anything because I don't think family of people who work therecan enter D:
That would totally suck!
Only speculation though.

Ha ha. Drop bears. I had a Scottish visitor convinced that yowies existed one time, but I may have made it out to sound more like an oversized wombat.
Our normal wildlife is far more scary, anyway. Try to kill a huntsman right before you get visitors from the UK. Spiders as big as your hand are totally out of Auntie Mildred's experience. In my experience, when you kill a huntsman, another one appears a few days later and is incredibly angry. (Well, its happened twice but that's enough for me to gently relocate them now, visitors notwithstanding.)
And, I was camping on the Overland track in Tassie a few years ago and a girl got a possum in her tent (looking for food) and it totally slashed the hell out of her leg, and the tent. She had to walk out 3 more days without a tent. And, I met another walker who had a boot stolen by a devil and had to walk 2 days without a boot until a ranger lent her one. True story.
Still want to visit, BioWare?
EDIT: Although, I think Canada might have bears that eat people. Devils, as consumers of carrion, only eat people after they're dead.
